My grandma's family is from around Gothenburg, but unfortunately I can't provide any advice as I've only been to Sweden twice (aged 2 and 10
). I will say that when I was last there, we went on a trip to Central (?) station, where I remember seeing an XJ2000 arrive, and there was a very impressive and shiny (at least, it seemed so to a 10-year-old me!) big black electric locomotive attached to a sleeper train (to/from Umeå I believe?). I remember my mum being rather surprised when the family we were staying with pointed out the "shower" symbol on the sleeper carriage!
I hope you enjoy your trip!

Or, at IKEA Birmingham, <Brummie accent> "would you like berries and gravy with that?" </Brummie accent>You could try kottbullar med (potatis)mos med lingon from a gatukok (should be two dots over the o in in kottbullar and the one in gatukok). I know you can get it from IKEA, but this proper.
