May i wish everyone on this forum who is expecting results tomorrow, or their friends, families or anyone who is there to support them, the very best of luck. I hope you all get what you need, and, if not, that Plan B works out just as well.

I got my results for this uni year about a month or so ago.

I passed all my coursework and all but two exams, I am resitting both of these exams (The first resit was on Monday just gone, the next resit is next week) I'm sure I'll pass them, I'm confident!

Final result, 3 As and 1 B. Bit cheesed off about the B as I was one UMS mark off the A threshold, but oh well! :)

That's pretty damn good though! As for the B, can't you push for a second marking? We could in my day (all of a couple of years ago).

Law, History and Politics for the As, and Computing for the B. I got an A in the Computing exam in June, just the January one was a bit of a failure (very low B) so I might resit that next January although to be honest it'll probably be better to just concentrate on getting a decent mark in the A2 stuff.

Well done to everyone getting their results. Got mine two years ago now, hard to believe only 1 more year before I graduate.

Got ABCD at AS-Level! Quite chuffed, better than I expected as well.

Got a C in Govt/Politics in January, resat and went up 27 marks, nailed the final exam and now on for A* next year. B in History, re-sitting that! C in English Language, hate the subject and thought I'd failed it, nothing sank in all year managed to go 3 marks under a B so a bit annoyed :/ D in Economics, messed up the final exam after being a mark off a B in January.

Think I'll be aiming for A*AB next year.

Good luck to one and all wherever you may be if you're getting results this time around. I left school with 10 GCSE grades A-C in 1993, and can't believe it's been that long!! Is it me though or does anyone else get bored with the same old lines being trotted out in the press every year about 'record passes', etc?? The press angle always seems to be that exams are too easy, etc., and not that young people are working harder, studying better, or teachers working harder with their students to get the best possible results???

You can probably write the headlines for next year now. Record exam passes, not enough university placements. Then a few weeks later they'll be saying "How terrible the youth of today is". It'll not change for a good few years.
