Like I said, we have two experienced fitters who are in full posession of the facts regarding previous fires, and are seconded to EMR for the foreseeable. They were constantly monitoring and working all through the high speed runs, which so far have thrown up only a few minor niggles.
Performance wise, as it stands with my limited experience of 180's, i'd take one over a 222 any day. Quicker to accelerate, and phenominal brakes.

Looks like today is 43074’s first day in service. I mean 43274. Its livery is like a mix of full bodyside red and the LNER front.

Not a problem. Certainly a lot going on at the moment with the HST's and the purple spreading to the 180's and 222's although it looks like no more have been done this week.

158774 is now in the full outgoing livery. 156406 has had the purple ends etc applied but doesn't yet have EMR Regional lettering.

Possible I suppose - but perhaps more likely that they'd have pulled another one out of Ely or Long Marston if they needed one - they wouldn't have rejected it to start with unless there was a good reason.

Until GA have enough 720s in service and the ability to temporarily use other units on certain routes, they won’t be going over to EMR not for passenger service and not for upgrades such as internal and external refurbishments. The first units to head over here will likely be late 2020 or early 2021 for driver training and testing with the first in service for the April 2021 timetable change and all in (I am only speculating) by summer 2021.

i think it was along with a few 720s being in service to release all the 360s, because there isnt enough 321/9s and 322s to cover the 360s as it stands, because at the moment it is only a week or so for a 360 to have 110 mods done and then come back but if they went to emr first, GA would need extra units until the 720s are in service
sorry if that makes no sense

I spotted a 5-car Meridian today, still in Stagecoach livery but with an awful lot of graffiti on the First Class carriages. It was leaving Sheffield for London at around 1830.
The skirt panels were completely covered up to and including the bottom couple of inches of the windows. A good thing it has yet to be re-branded.

Also noticed when boarding 222017 at Dronfield yesterday that one of the standard coaches had a 'First Class' door.

Happens from time to time. Same happens with the non passenger doors which the end ones have the 'swoosh' on.
