Unless one of the garstang drivers is using it to get back to base.

That's what lancaster was going to do but we got rid of 4 low-floor deckers instead!!

Yes we did, I wonder if ME kicked up a fuss or were promised something in the future...?

42672 out on Buttermeres.
16329 and 16393 on 78.
all 4 Profile's were on X4 and X5 this morning. 53339 disappeared off X4 this afternoon with 52628 going on instead.
all of 53338's LED's were out of use today. no destination boards or paper in or anything.

33170 and 20219 on 505.
20459 on 516.
20456 on 517.
16294, 17012, 17013, 17014 and 17015 on 599. I had a ride on a few of the Tridents (with rosswatson). i forgot how awesome they were compared to the 55 reg's on 555!
14253 and 14259 on short 555's. 14253 packed up. it had a new engine part fitted in Ambleside, which i'd assume made it work again, as it wasn't there a few hours later.
Wordsworth and Peter Rabbit on standard 555's.
18364 on 555 as well, still with "Stagecoach in Lancaster" fleetnames.
20458 and 20128 were on layover at Windermere.

47062 is on SL Ltd Contract. front LED not working. paper stuck to dashboard with "BNFL" on!

"Stagecoach in Lancaster" fleetnames. [/QUOTE said:
So either Kendal have neglected to change it or 18364 may return soon when a more suitable replacement for 16184 is found!

What the status of 16185?

How come the "shuttle bus" is coming as far south as Garstang? Are timings etc been affected that much with the bus station closure?

I believe that with it being Market Day and the busiest day in Garstang, someone is in the town giving out publicity for the changes to the 40/41 services at the end of the month. I think he is also monitering services. A mini has been here before on previous Thursdays

High backed seating.

Impressed they bothered lol wish we had high backs!

I think that Oxford has now taken delivery of all of their new E400H's so Manchesters should be next for delivery. I don't know whether Manc have received a training chassis yet.

Does anyway have any info on where the displaced MANs from Oxford will go? I know its not SCNW but I would be interested to know!!!

SERVICE CHANGES IN CUMBRIA FROM 29TH AUGUST 2010: TIMETABLE CHANGES (Posted 13/08/2010 14:13 on Stagecoach website)

Barrow Area Changes
5 Barrow - North Scale
The timetable of this Cumbria County Council service is revised, with some journeys withdrawn on schooldays.

6, 6A, X6
This service will have a revised, improved and much simplified timetable. Buses will still operate every 20 mins Monday to Saturday daytimes and there will be no changes to the Sunday timetable. The new X6 service will provide additional fast buses between Ulverston, Croftlands, Barrow and BAe Systems, replacing the old 6S. The school and college day diversions (6B and 6C) via Rating Lane will be discontinued and all buses will now follow the standard 6 or 6A routes. The little used off-peak 6X journeys are withdrawn.

7 Barrow schools and colleges - Askam - Kirkby - Broughton - Millom
These services will be extensively revised to meet the new Cumbria County Council contract commitments from the start of the school term. Buses to John Ruskin School at Coniston and Dowdales School at Dalton, will now be provided by other bus companies.

7A, X7 Barrow - Askam - Ireleth - Kirkby - Broughton - Millom - Haverigg
Unfortunately, we will be withdrawing the majority of the timetable on these routes. Cumbria County Council are investigating the possibilities of providing replacement facilities, including whether to continue with the evening and Sunday buses. Sadly, the quicker rail service, combined with heavily subsidised rail fares, means that the bus is not an attractive option along this corridor and we cannot compete on level terms. More information will be available in a few weeks.

10/11 Barrow - Ulverston, 60 Ulverston - South Ulverston, 511 Ulverston - Broughton
All of the above-mentioned Cumbria County Council contracted services will be withdrawn by Stagecoach and will pass to other bus companies. Further details can be obtained from the County Council.

M1, M2, M3 Millom and Haverigg local services
There will be some additional journeys and we are pleased to announce that these services will be operated with low floor, easy access buses too!

In addition, there will be changes to many school services in the area, affecting 512, 513, 730, 735.

Carlisle Area Changes
71 Carlisle - Anthorn
The timetable will be revised, with some daytime journeys now provided by other operators, under contract to Cumbria County Council.

73, 73A Carlisle - Keswick (Caldbeck Rambler)
Minor timetable revisions.

94, 97 Carlisle - Brampton / Hallbankgate
The timetable will be revised.

95 Carlisle - Brampton and 101 Carlisle - Rockliffe
Stagecoach have lost these contracts and will be operated by another bus operator. Further details can be obtained from the County Council.

185 Carlisle - Brampton
The timetable will be revised, with many journeys changing bus operator.

214 Penrith - Carlisle College
Minor timetable revisions to improve reliability.

620 Carlisle - Caldbeck (Wednesday shopper)
Stagecoach have lost this contract and it will be operated by another bus operator. Further details can be obtained from the County Council.

680 Carlisle - Nenthead
Stagecoach have lost this contract and it will be operated by another bus operator. Further details can be obtained from the County Council.

42025 on Harrington. rather interesting how the only step entrance minibus in the fleet ends up on a low floor service, with low floors on the step entrance services!
20918 on short 300.
20195 sat on annexe when i went past just then.

time is creeping up rather quickly now for 42545 to finish its time as The Osprey Bus. only 2 and half weeks left if you're wanting a picture! tuesday 31st August is the last timetabled day.

20128 will be transferred to morecambe next week.

It might have something to do with the R-reg decker chassis refurbishment that cost alot of money as well as putting new L.E.D blinds in.

Very pleased that 18364 is coming back, maybe this will allow a Leyland or two to be withdrawn. Look forward to seeing 20128, hope it replaces one of the M reg's that are technically in reserve!

I would have thought that it wouldn't matter if ME had done the R reg's up or not, the money all comes from the same pot and they would have needed doing where ever they were. Not sure tho, you could be right!!!

Right will be interesting to see what happens and actually whether a 55 leaves when the other Scans turn up!

20128 will be the second B10 with an LED at ME!!!

More holidaying buses at Frenchwood are 2 East Lancs bodied Darts from Lincolnshire, one is at least 33205 with the other possibly being 4 or 6 (was burried in 52629 corner today). Don't know whether these are on transfer, awaiting onwards collection or for sale... being on R plates makes them just newer than 33143/4 but older than examples currently being sold to dealers. They haven't seen use in service and if they did I expect a repaint would be on the cards prior, so probably worth keeping an eye out for them at Carlisle if that is the case.

Could be for transfer but who knows, didn't Preston just scrap one?

Been a while since I've seen a B10 on the 2a! http://www.flickr.com/photos/ian_simpson/4888233448/in/photostream/

The only 33*** that has been scrapped is the one that was at Carlisle for a short while with the Wright body. 33144 has been sold to Ensignbus and is currently for sale on ebay as seen elsewhere on group, 33143 is still in store I take it and 33163/71/2 are still in use, however these were due to be replaced at the end of this month... however it seems odd that T reg Marshalls are being replaced by R reg East Lancs unless they are in considerably better nick (que jokes about the state of Frenchwood vehicles)!
In other news, 16352 looks to be in the process of being debranded, with just the o/s left to do (its been in service like that since Tuesday), so possibly could be in for repaint and a possible move soon.

Wouldn't it just stay where it is? What the condition of it interior?

Any news on whether the north west will get new ticket machines soon?

Depends if its needed elsewhere or is staying for the new college contracts. It was planned originally when the tridents arrived that only 16327, 16391/2, 16642/5 would be the ones that were staying, but this was at the turn of the year so its probably changed by now with the addition of 16328 and 16184 since. Interior is in pretty good condition.
Latest rumour for the old Ribble ops (Chorley, Preston, Fleetwood) is tail end of this year/start of 2011, don't know if its any different for Morecambe and Cumbria.
