Indeed they were, part of the GNER "Mallard" heavy refurbishment.Think they were fitted with laminated windows a number of years ago.

43059/465 are reported to have worked 0Z01 Neville Hill-Barrow Hill today, with 43465 coming back with 43272 as 0Z02.
Correct. Annyoing for me as 465 was my last required 43/4It was 43059 that came back to NL with 43272, not 43465.
Cheers for the correction. It was 43059 that came back to NL with 43272, not 43465.
It is to be hoped 48 does not go to Long Marston!43048 and 43058 to Long Marston on Tuesday with a slight chance 48 will be dropped off at Leicester. Sounds unlikely though.

Depends on whether or not they can turn 48 as it's facing the same way as 89 currently. The turn table at NL is broken apparently. It is to be hoped 48 does not go to Long Marston!

I stand corrected, thanks.Pedant alert...it isn't broken, it's undergoing an overhaul. But it is certainly out of use for the time being.
I imagine that is how they would do it yeah. Although that could result in 58 being the wrong way wrong to carry on to Long Marston I guess. We will seeCould they not send then via a route with a reversal somewhere?
Not yet. According to my list on the rebranding thread it looks like it is still stored at Gascoigne Wood.Has 43306 entered service for EMR yet?
It is still at Gascoigne Wood. Also unlikely many more MTUs will enter service will EMR.Not yet. According to my list on the rebranding thread it looks like it is still stored at Gascoigne Wood.
I have 290, 277, 306, 308 at Gascoigne Wood. Won't be 308 as that has been handed back to angel. Might be another ex LNER set as a few of the EMR ones have to be stopped for maintenance soon; some of them won't receive it either. There is a proposed movement from Gascoigne Wood to Neville Hill tomorrow

I have 277 down as being at Barrow Hill. If it is a power car move, I suspect it will be 43306 - both 290 and 308 have been to Neville Hill already and have been rejected.I have 290, 277, 306, 308 at Gascoigne Wood. It's more than 3 months to the 360s from what has been said. Now I know that the whole process has not been accompanied by transparent logic, but that means there's an odd number of power cars waiting entry to service.
Could be the odd one is to be a spare, I suppose; but it's only just over 3 months to the 360s finally entering service, and replacing the lot.
Also interested that a pair of the ex GC power cars are on an 8 car set - as the ex GC sets are underwritten by DfT this makes the financial arrangements a bit complicated, I would think.
Didn't know that about 290, thanks. I'm not sure on 277 then, I suspect you are correct.I have 277 down as being at Barrow Hill. If it is a power car move, I suspect it will be 43306 - both 290 and 308 have been to Neville Hill already and have been rejected.

There's more power cars (23) than required for sets (9) anyway - as you'd expect. An odd number is not an issue once the turntable is back in use.
I don't see why it makes the financial arrangements complicated - the ex-GC sets were factored into the franchise when it was re-franchised as EMR, and even if not it's an agreement to lease 3 additional trains with an adjustment to the franchise. As long as the services run it's not a problem and to the EMR fleet team they're another 6 power cars available for use.

Combine that with the fact that the number of diagrams is supposed to decrease to four (can't see that being soon)
They won't manage in my opinion lol, at least not anytime soonHow are they managing to reduce the diagrams? Is it using the 180s (an optimistic approach as 4 of them to replace the sole short HST diagram seems more workable), more single 222s, or something else?
There are two sets at NL being prepared for service. So is it currently intended that any further ex LNER trailer sets will enter service?

I imagine a fifth set is on today's Gascoigne Wood move. Thanks - so that will be four in total. Is that likely to be it?
When are the hst set moving today possibly?I imagine a fifth set is on today's Gascoigne Wood move.
