EMT Class 222

Any idea what 222 operates the 1127 Saturday service from Sheffield to St Pancras please?

I'm looking on the EMT site at the moment and it gives me a choice of 5, 7 or 4 car 222s.

I "think" the 4 car 222s are only used on the Corby services but I'm not 100% sure.

I think you may be right there. I wouldnt have thought a Sheffield would be a 4 car anyway!

Nope wrong i was on board 222104 3 weeks back from Nottingham back to Leicester. To be honest the 4cars rarely work on there own although its not unknown. Often the corby's are 5car units

That is true most of time but i see 4 car's on semi fast pull into P7 at sheffield at least twice a week now.

It's just I need to reserve a seat as well not that I have much faith in ticketing systems - one passenger wanted to use the quiet coach which is Coach B on East Coast services but the ticketing system insisted it was Coach C!

It's just I've never had the chance to fully enjoy the Midland Mainline north of Bedford plus the XC bit between Doncaster and Sheffield.

To be honest the 4cars rarely work on there own although its not unknown.

It's quite common actually. The last Nott's - SPX at night is often a lone four car, as is the evening Lincoln (although admittedly that does split at Nott's)

The 1302 Nottingham - St Pancras was a 4 car (222103) when I was last on it

Cheers, found the 222 to be comfortable although there was zero extras in 1st Class unlike East Coast apart from walking to the buffet to get a free coffee or tea.
