I got an email on monday from OPC to say i had passed my assesment day. I already passed the DMI witj freightliner a few weeks before the assesment day. It says that they will now pass all my details to freightliner who will be in contact with regards to next steps. All that would be left would be the medical i think. Just wondering of any knows how long it could be before i hear anything from freightliner?
Thanks.

Interesting that you passed the DMI before you sat your assessments, I was under the impression that FL left the OPC to do the initial assessments and MMI and then they did the DMI before a medical etc. Either way FL are renowned for being extremely slow and I doubt the COVID situation has helped matters. I along with a number of others passed all the assessments in Jan and our details were passed to FL for a DMI and we haven't heard anything since. I know some were contacted regarding DMI's and had them booked in but they were cancelled due to snow! Also the demand for each depot will play a part in when you hear something.

Good luck either way.

Yes i thought it was weird that we did the DMI first but thats how they did it. When i had my DMI the guys from freightliner that did it mentioned that they had changed the order for sone reason. No idea why.
Cheers for the response. Im just impatient and would like to know whats going to happen next lol.

Yeah I had a very similar time frame with mine. After doing my OPC assessment day I’d got the email saying I had passed the day after so was hoping I’d know by now lol. Not sure how much long I can hold out without bursting tbh. Well I take comfort in knowing I’m not the only one waiting Lol

Due to covid, the current graduates were all furloughed as they couldn’t be in a cab with instructor, they have started to return now and have a covid test with there mentor driver so they can work together in there own bubble, also they’ve a back log with medicals for current drivers, due to covid etc, so things are running slow at the moment

Thanks mate. Have you received heard anything else since?
No - they gave us a deadline to reply of this Friday and I assumed we wouldn’t hear anything until after that date as they would coordinate all the responses before we hear anything else.
