The Dorset Coast Express to Weymouth every Wed

Hi all,

Was looking forward to the steam every wed to Weymouth from london with a different loco taking the tour down and a different one returning, with the outward engine banking the train between Weymouth and Wareham!!

watching uksteam.info this last few weeks, engines dedicated have come and gone.

I was hoping for Lamiel and Tangmere.

Now, TODAY, I see nothing other than Lamiel is avalilable so Lamiel is on the outward trip with a diesel on the return. Looks like its not even being turned at yeovil and will stay on the rear on the return trip facing backwards???

any thoughts??

what happened to 60019??????????????

saw it come down this morning,

but was on moreton station waiting for it to come through banking between Weymouth and Wareham, and there was NO engine on the rear, only 30777 on the front!!!!!!!!


Is it still at Weymouth in trouble. Will it go to Yeovil Junction this eveining as timetabled?????

It was in a big full page advert from a newspaper that it said steam hauled from Staines. Sounds like that's a load of tripe then!

It's still steam hauled from Staines... just steam hauled from all Chiswick and Victoria, and Woking/Basingstoke.
