I would hazard a guess that it will be Optare Solo's. I'm not sure what the situation is with the services that have been lost in Barrow and whether it will free up any Solos, but there are a couple coming out of Preston aswel which could go to Barrow if needed.
I wonder if the North West's last 709d's will be withdrawn from Barrow when the service changes take place?

the Millom services (m1 m2 and m3) will be Solo operated. there's 23 Solo's in Barrow now, and only 18 needed on Network Barrow town services.
i understand that a few 709D's will still be required in Barrow after the service changes. a cut down X7 service will still be in existance (often see's 40028 ). a few 709D routes are still going to be around, but with a cut-down timetable.

Staceys Coaches have taken over contracts for route 71 and 101 in Carlisle.
Reays Coaches have taken over the contract for route 95.
Caldew Coaches have taken over the contract for the wednesday only 620 shopper service.
i believe the Stagecoach operated journeys on the 680 will be operated by Wright Bros., who already operate the non-Stagecoach journeys.

Barrow is keeping 2 709ds for the 2 out stations one will be 40652 at Ulverston and 40028 At Coniston. I was told a 51 plate solo will be used on Millom town service and the X7s or 7As witch ever. There is only one bus needed on Millom services.Service 5 will be becoming low floor full time after the service cuts too.

So 709d's sticking around a bit longer!!! I was sure they would all be gone by this year but they just keep holding on lol.

Also for those who are interested here are some pictures (not mine) of Oxfords new Hybrid E400's in service complete with branding. I believe they are only waiting on 4 to be delivered now. I'm not sure whether Manchester's lot will be branded in the same way but with "for a cleaner greener Manchester" rather than "Cleaner Greener Oxford". We shall see. http://steve-buckley.fotopic.net/c1874459.html

Also on the subject of Manchester it has been rumoured that Yorkshire and the Midlands will be receiving some E400's from Manchester (2006 ones I guess) when the E400H's arrive.

yeah looks very similar although I think the green is darker lol. They have done the interior colours differently as well!!!

Did I see it mentioned on here that ALL of Chorleys Olys will be gone by the end of the year? Or will it just be the rotten ones?

Also some news from Yorkshire:

16500 P150 KWJ Rawmarsh to withdrawn (then subsequently to Stagecoach East)

16876 P923 RYO Rawmarsh to withdrawn

16879 R275 LGH Rawmarsh to withdrawn

Could the NW see 16876/79? Would fit in nicely with stuff we have got from Yorkshire before...

Also on a comical note Excel 35018 (P222 ABC) which was "transferred" to Stagecoach Bluebird earlier in July has been rejected by them and sent back to Barnsley!!!

Glad they are going through the MANS quite quickly. Any sign of that B10 we were meant to be getting? as it 22818 that got a repaint but not retrim?

The trimmer was of when 22818 went up for repaint.
16655 is being stripped bare as we have started to take the seats out, as the bosses want it gutting before going to the scrapyard, theres nothing heard about the B10 yet, it might make an appearance during the next fleetchanges later this month.
The pic is uploaded onto my site.

Just been flicking through Facebook and found a picture taken this month of 47247 with X22 Morecambe Battery on the top line on it blinds then it changes between "Via Heysham bypass, via Heysham Kingway and Fast & Direct" on the bottom via point line.
