Computerised Trainee Driver tests

Hello everyone I've passed my written assessment day the next stage is a computerised assessment day and the a module interview. Has anyone got any links to some free practice computer tests and does anyone know what type of follow up questions will be asked in my module interview .... Any help would be greatly appreciated

I've gone through the booklet multiple times, altho there's some types of examples for the computer tests i was hoping there's
some practice software I could be made aware of.

Hey, earlier in the year I did my psychometric tests. I found the computerised ones the easiest part. Personally I found to just stick to the practice examples given, you really do not want to over think it. Ultimately with these tests you either can do them or not.

It's easier said than done, but don't stress to much about it. The fact you have passed the first stage is a great and that you are probably more than capable of doing them

The MMI is one to practice, questions I found thanks to this forum helped me prepare;

1. Describe a time when you followed rules and procedures
2. Describe a time when you have solved a difficult problem
3. Describe a time when you have been on a training course over 2 weeks or greatest achievement
4. Describe a time when you have handled an emergency situation
5. Describe a time when you have worked for long periods of time alone
6. Describe a role you do similar to a train driver?

because of covid at the end of the written tests we were given a sheet of paper asking us 6 questions to give brief answers too.. I can remember a couple.
1. Give an example when you had to work and not make a mistake.
2. Give an example when you had to deal with an emergency
3. Give an example if when you had to work in a pressurised situation
4. Give an example of when you worked in a class room for 2 weeks or more ( I haven't really,my example was my forklift licence training)
Can't remember the other 2
What type of follow up questions will they use to my answers, Do you know?

Iirc, they will pick a couple at random and just probe you about them and ask you to talk about them more. The assessors are great at what they do and make the whole MMI so relaxed, they get information out of you so easily.

Like question 1 (if they pick it) they may ask you why you did what you did.

I remember I used my past ride operating on that question, they asked why I did something the way I did, and I said because that was the procedures. They followed with "would you of done anything different?" and again I said no.

The STAR technique is something to look into too!

The joystick test isnt that bad at all, I personally found that it wasnt smooth but stepped (when going up the diagonal and around the curve), it beeped a few times. As previously stated, the mmi is one to prepare for. If they do not like your answer they may ask for an alternative or give you a hypothetical question to answer

Its the interview I'm worried about the most I've only ever done 3 lol.. Will they ask about the company like in the first interview or will they just go on the six questions I've given examples for.

There's absolutely nothing company specific in the MMI. It's a psychometric test and isn't at all related to any pre-existing knowledge you may have. It's more about how you react to things and what sort of person you are.

Hi guys, looking for anyone who has done the tests already. I’ve bought practice test material for the ATAVT Perception test. It seems in the practice you get 10 questions and if you miss one thing or put one thing that wasn’t there you fail the whole question, i.e say you marked the pedestrian and motor vehicle but missed the road sign it marks the whole question wrong. Surely on the day you would get credit for the correct ones you found and wouldn’t fail the whole question if you missed a single thing.

I wouldn't have thought you need to get 100%. The OPC never tell you the actual score , but I would be surprised if anyone got everything right.

Don't worry about this test too much. It's an incredibly stressful test but just trust your intuition on each question. Don't sit there thinking about it. I felt like I'd failed it on the day (and so does everyone else I know who sat it) but everyone does far better than they expect on it.

I answered each question within 5 or so seconds, immediately ticking what I thought I saw (even if I wasn't certain) and the lady said I performed well on the test.

That was the hardest test imo. Picture flashes up for less than a second and you need to determine which objects you seen. Felt like I guessed a couple coz the pictures feel like they merge into one

Hi all, Im looking at practice materials. I got sent some from my TOC and worked through those several times as well the How To Become Books. Im trying to practice the OAT tests. Does anyone have any suggestions on other things to do to simulate this test. Assesment got cancelled back in April so just getting my practice in anticipation of a new assessment date.
