Well, yes. Pretty much every single thing he's done since bottling it and locking down has been a disaster, there is zero case for not reopening the country completely, but that'd amount to admitting the Tories have tanked the economy and killed hundreds of thousands for no reason whatsoever, which doesn't really go down well with the voters. Maybe someone could point out there's not an election for four years and we'd have forgotten by then?
Half a generation ago, you could have confidence in the intelligence of politicians, even if you disagreed with their views and would never vote for them. Neil Kinnock, Margaret Thatcher, Paddy Ashdown heck even Gordon Brown and Tony Blair. All intelligent, and their cabinets beneath them had the likes of Michael Portillo, Robin Cook etc.
I really feel now that we're dealing with not so bright people. Boris Johnson, Gavin Williamson, Matt Hancock. They can't even obfuscate properly when challenged by journalists. They just trot out the same soundbites like automatons.
But I digress...
Back on topic, what population percentage take up of a vaccine would we actually need for it to be effective?

Which is why I would never trust any kind of mandatory vaccine programme, our politicians are too easily led by people far more intelligent to get into politics. Still it could be worse, isn't Don Trump looking at promoting some plant toxin as a treatment now, imagine making that mandatory...??

Which one's that? I've lost track.
Plenty of "plant toxins" are medicines, though, so calling something a "plant toxin" doesn't overly help the debate. For instance, warfarin, quite useful (and very safe) for getting rid of blood clots, is a plant toxin - and a rat poison! You could put people off taking it by pointing out that they're taking rat poison tablets, but that would be just a little bit silly.
Its called Oleandrin, and hasn't even been tested as being effective. But one of his prime backers is on the board of a company that produces it, so make of that what you will.
