34079 had a reconditioned engine fitted (from an ex Merseyside N reg Dart i believe). it died this morning outside the bus station. was finally towed away at quarter to 4-ish!

all 4 Profile's were on TransCumbria, until 53337 got back to Workington 30 minutes late! so 20910 went on.
35247 on 30 and 31. didn't see any step entrances at all!
47006 replaced 47062 on 50.
20919 is still out on 51.
20962 and 47059 on Seaton.
47007 and 47616 on Harrington.
47006 had done 48's all day.
16447, 16651, 16653 and 16654 on 300.
20901 was on short 300 earlier in the day, replaced by 20918 on the 1402 departure.

22600 overheated in the bus station whilst on 30 to Thornhill.

had a little look in 20918, and couldn't find a tacho unit in it, so it either ran full 301's without a tacho, or only ran a part route, being swapped with a tacho'd bus after fueling or whatever. (a few months ago, 20737 was seen doing full routes without a tacho in it!)

34618 running on the 89s today
Yesterday Preston were using 16327, 18157 and 18158 on the 3s along with 22260 and22269 with 34473 on the 113.
50129 still out and about on Megabus duties

Preston allocations really have become more random lol.

I'm off to Majorca today so you wont be hearing from me for a while! I'll be stuck with single deckers and bendies lol.

Sounds like a normal day at Frenchwood! Will find out tomorrow if 17019 makes service, likely to release 16328 or 16352 (more likely as its been meant to be going for what seems like forever)! Less likely with the extra low floor that the 3's will see steppies on them... though you never know!
Expect to see the Darts switch back to the 3's in the next couple of weeks, with the MANs on 9's as part of Cop Lane is shutting, with a rather ambitious diversion around part of the 3A route!

Free Shuttle started this morning between the bus station and Harrington, due to the road in Harrington being closed. 30/31 are being diverted up High Street as planned... Pah!

20945 on new service 53.
20905 done 48 this morning. now on SL Ltd Contract.
20913 on a Staff Shuttle to Maryport.
20931's side flip dot is still stuck on 10A.

20919 on short 300.
47024 on 50.
47005 another KX51 and 47060 on Harrington & Seaton routes.
30 and 31 are struggling on times. often running at the same time in both directions.

on a "brighter" note, full summer season timetables have now started.
Keswick - Seatoller 78 is now half hourly, with Carlisle operating the xx55 slots from Keswick, whilst Penrith operate their usual xx25 slots from Keswick. in theory, both slots should be open top, but you can never tell with the not brilliant reliability of the OT Volvo Oly's
555 is now half hourly between Keswick and Kendal. 14253, 14259 and 16184 are working with the 9 Tridents to provide the service requiring 10 vehicles (6 for Keswick - Lancaster and 4 for Keswick - Kendal).
Osprey Bus 74 is now operating 7 days a week, for what is most likely the last time.
X58 service is back for the summer holidays.
517 is also now 7 days a week for the summer.

On a personal note, I wish they - though I suppose it comes down to Council subsidy for the evenings - would improve the service between Kendal/Windermere and Lancaster late on. How can you have a decent day out when the choice of when to come home is so limited! Just having the 7:40 and 8:00 go all the way back to Lancaster would be something.

I have experienced the same problem between Grasmere and Keswick! Which involved a mad dash to catch the last bus to Keswick... which wasn't particularly late either. Some later services would be handy during the summer season.

its a similar kinda story for me getting back to West Cumbria when i've been out that way! i've talked to a few people about it as well. people out walking would probably love to sit in a beer garden with a nice pint of cool Cumberland Ale in the warm evenings, but there isn't any public transport to get back out of central lakes really! the last one to Keswick arrives back to Keswick at 1915 (1845 from Grasmere). the evening ones only run Grasmere - Kendal really, which is rather difficult for tourists and people not in that area!

forgot to say before, the desty displays for the new temporary 53 service are in a different style to normal. "53" is on the LEFT hand side of the display rather than the right

interesting catchup on Moorclose at 15:00, 14255 had to come down due to no B10M's on the annex. 31 and 30 have timing issues with Harrington buses also running behind late this afternoon. Harrington/46 buses coming into the bus station almost at the same time as Seaton/47! However, 53 Workington Shuttle was operating on time :)

i understand it is a permenant replacement for 16185, which is engine-less

16651, 16653, 16654 and 16734 on 300.
16647 and 20129 on 30 and 31.
47005, 47007, 47060 and 47617 are the Harrington & Seaton buses.
47006 and 47024 on Moorclose Circulars.
47059 on Maryport Town Services.
47061 on 58!
20901 on X58.

Not alot happening today;
17018 has now got an L.E.D blind
18364 has gone to kendal
and the healthy heart bus is down for a new engine.

Didn't see 17021 today, although it could have been hidden in the depot, if its made it to us yet! 16328/352 still going strong, although 16352 is due to go and will be the next out as its ticket machine isn't and won't be linked to the real time system. 52629 is back, fresh from repaint and is parked back in its spot on the back wall! 33144 is reported sold.

Any news on when 17017 is heading to Lillyhall? Also, will it be re-painted? May not need done as I don't know what sort of condition the paintwork is in  It evaded me when I was in Lancaster a few weeks ago.

Like i said in a recent post the worst ones are 17018/19/22 and 24 as you can still see the old baylink branding where the stagecoach legals are and the ones that are staying at morecambe 17020/23 and 24 are eventually going to get repainted.
