The elites know our craving for respectability. And that is a mechanism by which they enslave us.It's a good article, but I'm not convinced it's a reputable source, which makes it very easy for supporters of mask-wearing to oppose.

Are eyes also a potential conduit for infections getting into the body? If so, we also need to think about goggles...

Why Wearing Face Masks Shouldn't be Made Compulsory in the UK
The UK government is coming under intense pressure to make the wearing of face masks mandatory in shops and other enclosed public places in England, but if that happens, it would be the wrong move.sputniknews.com
"We need at this stage to be getting back to the old, February 2020 normal, not consenting to an anti-human, New Abnormal."
This is correct, and anyone who is genuinely exempt and gets fined will likely challenge this, rendering the law practically useless.I'm not sure how the police can enforce this either? As far as I'm aware you do not have to carry proof of exemption in either Scotland or England.

It was fine as a short term measure, but the mandation of it on public transport is a bit silly at this stage, and the mandation of it in all shops is quite frankly ridiculous given how weak the evidence is!
What about crying in despair about how Sturgeon's handling the whole thing?as so far as I know one tends not to shed significant virus from ones eyes.
What about crying in despair about how Sturgeon's handling the whole thing?
Scotland's First Minister Nicola Sturgeon said the wearing of face coverings should “become as automatic as putting the seat belt on”.
It comes as wearing a face covering became compulsory in shops and on all public transport across Scotland.
Ms Sturgeon said, given the confined nature of shops, “it should be the law on face coverings", citing the "increasing evidence now that wearing a face covering can play a part in stopping the transmission of the virus”.
“For the foreseeable future, what I am saying to people is that wearing a face covering in a shop or public transport should become as automatic as putting the seat belt on when we get into a car," the first minister told BBC Breakfast.
She said mandatory face coverings were "more difficult" in a restaurant or pub "for obvious reasons", adding that "there needs to be other mitigations in place in these kinds of settings”.
She flatly refused suggestions that the variations in coronavirus regulations among the UK's four nations gave weight to those backing Scottish independence.
“I have never seen this pandemic as an argument for or against independence. I have tried not to be political, party political or engage in constitutional politics over this.”
I really wish Sturgeon would stop comparing the use of face coverings to seatbelts. Seatbelts have been proved to reduce chance of death in a car by up a significant amount (various numbers across the internet, 45% was quoted in various places). No evidence like this for face coverings. And the mortality risk from COVID-19 is < 1% (generally; and I couldn't find a very up-to-date exact figure for this), when the case numbers in Scotland are so small is their use really going to "save lives"?Oh dear, the First Minister starts to tighten her grip on Soctland's faces...
Good luck Scotland, but we won't be following you on this, hopefully!

My bold. Its only a matter of time before she mandates their use outside, in the home, in the bedroom....

I’ve not been to any shops yet today but when I do go to one that’s what I’m expecting as well. There’ll always be some with exemptions so 90-95% compliance is probably full compliance anyway.Police on the door of my local this morning, and I’d estimate 90-95% compliance overall.
That's the effect I was expecting, tbh.I have noticed in my area the streets are back to as quiet as they were when the lockdown first started making me wonder if the law has caused those who were going out to stay home again.
My area is exactly the same, the shops are open but not many people are in them. That's the effect of 3 months of 'go out and you'll die' messaging accompanied with mandating masks everywhere (reminding people of the dangers), emphasising the importance of avoiding everyone like the plague (quite literally), and putting out daily announcements of how many people are dying with the virus (most people believe it's 'from' the virus and not with).I have noticed in my area the streets are back to as quiet as they were when the lockdown first started making me wonder if the law has caused those who were going out to stay home again.
Yes much more fun for the plods than dealing with real crime like the drug dealing that seems to go on round my way with impunity.Police on the door of my local this morning, and I’d estimate 90-95% compliance overall.
Sorry, nobody cares about drug dealing any more, because it's not the deadly killer virus.Yes much more fun for the plods than dealing with real crime like the drug dealing that seems to go on round my way with impunity.

...my fundamental view is that the law exists to protect an individual from others, not from themselves.
I concur, all purchases online - bugger the shops, and we are going to try Iceland home delivery to avoid even the supermarket visit!I will wear it in the supermarket when I go but sadly anything else I need to purchase will be done from the comfort of my living room, depriving the high street of cash.
I'm off to Glasgow, will report back how busy the streets are looking today when I return.
Was so nice to see everyone out and about in the last 2 weeks, not prepared to be pleased with what I see today...
