The Greater Anglia site says it does stop at Stratford. This is interesting though - what does "pick up only" mean? Is nobody allowed to get off?

You may board at Stratford but you must not alight. In other words Greater Anglia don't want the train to be used by passengers making a short Liverpool Street to Stratford journey.

Avanti have similar restrictions at Watford Junctions where their services that call there pick up only (in the northbound direction) and set down only (in the southbound direction).

SWR similarly have long distance trains that are pick up / set down only at Clapham Junction.

You and alastairlees are referring to the Covid timetable, I was assuming we were talking about "normal" times.

Is it possible to look at a timetbale that isn't the current one?

And I would have thought the Covid timetables would stop at less stations and not more.. but maybe I'm wrong...

Yes, click on the timetables link at the very bottom of any page on NRE. Click through links until you get options for May 2020 and Dec 2019 and download the May 2020 zip file. You want table 11.

Or just look on RealTimeTrains a few weeks ahead. The Covid timetables tend to be uploaded a week at a time and show up as VAR or STP (in detailed view). Journey planners similarly.

Thanks! Got it. The trains at that time in the morning seem to be the same, the only difference I can see is that the 730 stops at Stratford at the moment, but doesn't normally. This is annoying as it would be the perfect train for me if it had that option of using Stratford and avoid zone 1...
