This morning:

17020/22 on 2/2a
14195/96 on schools
16662 on 500
18381 on 935
51 plate solo on 49
20463 coming down into town from LRGS
20133 on 80
34618 on 89

17017 has been fitted with front and rear LED's seen this morning working the 41. I think this only leaves 17018/22 with Roller Blinds.

Also this message appeared in my inbox yesterday from another forum:

"Dear all

Checked on the Transpire website, the 10 N230 for Chesterfiedl are confirmed by Stephen Read, Ops Manager for SiY in Chesterfield.

They arrive mid-August, and will be registered on 60 plates. Numbered 15687-15696.

They are for express Chesterfield-Sheffied 727, displacing 3 Volvo/Jonckheere, and also hourly 17 Chesterfield-Matlock and 70 Chesterfield-Staveley-Killamarsh, presumably the longer journjeys beyond Staveley.

It appears that most or all the Volvo Olys will go, and *possibly* the two Tridents elsewhere within SiY.

This means that the 4 Scanias for Lillyhall will be delivered rather later than originally anticipated, and not the originally anticipated fleetnumbers."

I don't think this actually makes any difference to us does it?

LL's were down as 15683/4/5/6, with factory fit digital tacho units, with delivery expected early - mid august. we'll see what happens though.

nice to see that a R---XVM B10M on 50 this morning has been replaced by 35247 - after me seeing a woman with a double buggy unable to get on at the end of my road earlier this morning!

should make a game of this! how many step entrance buses can LL get onto low floor services in one day  its more annoying when Solo's turn up on non-low floor services, like on saturday! if that happened at Carlisle, one of the inspectors would have tracked down a step entrance on a low floor service and swapped the buses over! seen it done plenty of times! one of the ones that sticks to mind, was a Volvo Oly on Harraby's. an inspector took a Harraby branded Dart (61 / 61A branded to you lot) to the courts after it had finished in workshops, sat waiting for 20 minutes until the Oly turned up from Harraby, swapped them over, then the Dart went out to Morton with the Oly going to the bus station as a spare.

Agree haha suppose it makes recording fleet changes a bit more interesting instead of seeing the 'supposed buses' on their 'supposed' route (rare, i know!!) - expect the unexpected?!? It does make you wonder where the solos are, as there should be some spare

It also makes you wonder which low-floor route 35247 has been nicked from!

Makes sense then lol. So ME get 4, then LL get their 4, then Chesterfield get 10 and then ME get their remaining 4 lol. How irritating!

Was thinking this morning after looking at a few of the MANS displays that they need a good clean lol. Some of the rear ones are unreadable!

They could be getting rid of some of the s reg mans but not sure

Indeed that's what's been said. They have a lot of MANS, 2 54 reg Tridents and 2 55 reg Tridents, then a handful of B10's and darts. I'm not even sure if they know what they are losing as yet :)

If they do get rid of some mans i doubt they will go to morecambe as they've got loads but maybe cumbria?

To be honest I think they will probs stay down south and replace things down there. Its rare that stuff comes up from down south but does happen sometimes so like to keep my finger on the pulse as it were :)

Again, not SCNW, but you would be amazed at some of the movements that occur. For example, an ex Islwyn coach 52679 - UIL7808] has just moved to Inverness in exchange for a Dart SLF [34195 - W195DNO].

Having said that, there are quite a few Volvo Olympians in the NW that originated with Stagecoach South, so anything is possible

I seen 25223 on the 41 going past the shrimp to morecambe yesterday(sat) just after 1pm.

It was 25223, im sure it was friday, and the only time i was in Preston friday was when i was due out at 13:55 and it was doing a 41 to Morcambe, and it had baylink 6 branding :)

Hope that helps

Indeed anything can happen I suppose thats why I like to keep an eye on nation wide movements.

Anyway down Preston today 34473 was a 4 early doors whilst the 19 had Park & Ride Solo 47703 still on it when I was back down on the 1500

Workington Schools were covered by 47062, 20195, 20134 and 20931.
20931 done the last 48 of the day. side display showing "10A", which is rather odd, cos Lillyhall doesn't have a 10A!!!
47023 and 47024 on Harrington.
47061 and 47005 on Seaton.
35247 and 47007 on Moorclose.
16733 and 20901 and 35249 and another B10M on 30 & 31.
20905 on short 300.
14255 on Staff Shuttle then Whitehaven Schools.

20436 and 20910 on evening 301's. 20436's display is stuck on "West Cumberland Hospital 300", it has boards in the windscreen.
47024 on Workington Town Evening Services.
47005 on evening 30's.
47062 done 2015 X5 to Cockermouth.

"Service 4 Chorley - Great Knowley

From 25 July, Lancashire County Council will withdraw its financial support for Service 4, operating between Chorley and Great Knowley. Stagecoach has confirmed we will continue running the Monday to Saturday service on a commercial basis. However, the County Council's Sunday daytime Service 4 will be withdrawn, as Service 124 will once again provide an hourly service for this area."

Had a brief stop in Manchester this morning and had a chance to see some Dennis Dragons which actually sound rather good when they sail past! I'm assuming that a lot of these will be replaced later on this year with new vehicles arriving. I guess they will be scrapped as the only other place for them within the group would be somewhere like Western for school work.

The new Magic bus livery looks even better in person on the Tridents.

Few dodgey snaps are on my flickr:

West Cumbria:
20902, 20918, 20919, 20931 and 20134 on 30 and 31. no doubt an Oly will have been on as well, so looking at least 6 step entrances on a low floor service requiring 13 buses!
47007 on Seaton.
47059 on Maryport Town.
42025 on 58.
16447 and 16654 on 300. 1650ish from Maryport was 25 mins late.
20129 on SL Ltd.

Carlisle:
all 3 Vario's out in force.
20904 on 66.
20907 and 24122 (connections to Carlisle) on 79 / 179.
52626 and 52408 on 685.
34048 on short 685.
14232 was on Citi 76 for a brief period. it was replaced by a Dart around 2-ish

in Carlisle workshop area:
52627, 42672, 14265, 16337, and some others that i didn't catch details of.

Carlisle body shop was a Citi Dart (PX05 EKT i think, 76 branded) and another Dart, which looked to be 33076, but i'm not too sure! it was fully rubbed down and looked mini, but could be wrong!

You beat me to that! i had a jaunt to workington on 20918, and came back on 22609.... Must say, being by first run on a 209xx B10M, i wasn't as overly impressed as i'd hoped... Give me a 207xx B10M ANY DAY!!!

Rather unexpectedly, also being my first "longer" run on an Enviro 300 (i have been on one within the confines of Maryport), i quite liked the way it handled the flat from Siddick to Flimby... Seemed rather smoother on that particular stretch than 25225 did when it ran the route.
