Three - possibly four - London double deckers heading south down the M6 near Lancaster at 18:30 today. Couldn't really see what they were but I think Alexander bodies.
Only noticeable features to possibly ID them were the advertising hoardings were lined bright yellow, with yellow fleet decals (too fast to read) just in front and above the rear wheels

Sounds like Go-Ahead (the yellow bits). Possibly Ees for the 106 taken over on 25th April?

could have been 400ER or 400H or something using the same windscreen and stairs layout, not a 400EV, wrong layout

Could they have been the Stagecoach London E400s that we’re stored in Cumbria?

Stagecoach are taking over London Bus Route 25 in the next few weeks. I understand they are introducing low emission buses with USB chargers. These could be the ones. Manor Park is shown on the window blind of the bus in the pic above which I’m sure is a stop on Route 25.

I assume that they are not for Cornwall? It would fit with style and yellow logos, but not the advert frames.

Also, what is the usual route from Falkirk to London - is it via the M6 or A1/M1? If the latter, they may not be for London.

Some do come via the M1 with a fuel stop at either Barnsley or Chesterfield.

Three green Enviro 400 Citys heading down the M6 this morning. No visible branding or fleet names.
Passed Leyland around 08:45

Another delivery today. Around 17:20 today two all-grey Enviro400 types heading south at Preston, second one reading "National Express" on the destination board. May have been more, but I had to watch the traffic in front of me......

They might be National Express West Midlands as that's the livery for their Platnum services, they seem to be building up quite a fleet of MMC400s now from what I can gather.

If I recall correctly, NXWM are only ordering electric buses from now on. If this is one of theirs, is it electric, or one of their last non-electric deliveries?

Sorry, no way of seeing that in the time available

I believe NXWM has completed delivery of non-electric MMCs. However, the electric buses that are currently being delivered are BYD DD's with E400MMC bodywork so they could be some of these.

Looks like Optare may be back delivering as well
heading south on the M6 around 17:30 around Wigan, a pair of grey (or silver) Optare midibuses (Versa or similar) with Stagecoach branding on the headboard

If they have Stagecoach branding, I would think that they will be some of the MetroCity EVs for Caerphilly (they were due 12 MetroCity EV and 4 Solo SR EV IIRC).

You'll note from here:

...and the annual report that the Caerphilly electrics are delayed until 2021.

Are we sure that these aren't more surplus TfGM hybrid Optares, that are shared around Manchester operators, going somewhere for storage?

I didn't notice any batteries on the roofline
they were unbranded grey or silver, with the Stagecoach logo displayed on the destination LED, along with the word "Stagecoach"
