The Flying Scot

I recently watched a video of the 1957 crime film The Flying Scot (as mentioned in post 790 on page 27 of the thread on films you've seen/film discussion at https://www.railforums.co.uk/threads/films-youve-seen-film-discussion.128965/page-27).

The station where they arrive at the end of the film is obviously Paddington, even though the train is supposed to be the Flying Scotsman, but does anyone know which station the start of the journey was filmed at?

Also, you see some Mark 1s in the train, but the coach in which they travel is obviously older. Does anyone know what type of stock it is?

There's also one point where you can clearly see - "PADDINGTON BIRMINGHAM SHREWSBURY" on the destination boards on the carriage sides as well!

Assuming that it was filmed on the WR Paddington-Birmingham route, perhaps the carriage is of GWR origin?

Oh and it's Paddington at the beginning as well, they seem to have made good use of the footage they had as well as much stock footage. Not that you can blame them too much with a small budget and short filming schedule.
