Just done all three tests(SJT and vse parts 1,2 & 3).
I must have got out of bed with a wrong head today. Made lots of silly little mistakes and my concentration got thrown off. It pretty much just comes down to your frame of mind on the day sometimes and I think a lot of guys will get the hang of it from the off and others like me, even though I've done it before and passed, will lose there flow just because they aren't in the right frame of mind on the day.
Good luck to everyone.

Is there a deadline for completing the VST and SJT? I've got a couple of uni assignments that I need to complete over the next week. It would be better if I could wait until after those deadlines before doing these tests.

You had anything back from OPC?

No nothing yet. Im pretty sure my SJT answers were on form and I've done this test before for Freightliner and passed. As for the parts 1 and 2 of the VSE, I think I might have scraped through them although Im dissapointed that I made about 10 silly mistakes where I missed the button or hit it too late. I even made one mistake by moving my keyboard and hitting the space bar, which selected a answer as my mousse pointer was hovering over a button!
Part 3 of the test was a mixed bag for me, I would say I probably failed that, out of the 120+ different changes(it says at the top of the screen a number which is each transition) I probably cocked up about 20-25 of them, maybe more. Not a good performance by me today.

It could be that the SJT is an automated score check and that instant rejection emails can be done by a computer, whereas the other tests might require manual scoring? Just guessing really but I havent heard anything yet and I am expecting a knockback.

Just complete it mate instead of waiting until the end and asking what it involves. I’m all for helping people but when they are close to asking for the answers then maybe not.

As a key worker I haven’t had the time to complete the test due to my work hours and i dont see the point of completing the test if my concentration level aint 100%

I’ll complete it on my next day off before the deadline...

Thanks

I’m a key worker mate. I’m not saying find the time, I’m saying do it when you can without trying to find all the answers

It looks as though I was probably one of the first to do it on this forum and I seem to have been the only one with a rejection email. It’s looking more and more like an error as nobody else has got one.

Did you send an email to OPC admin?

You’ll get the instructions at the start of the test and it will explain the possible scenarios that constitute a fault

Do you know how many errors you can make and still pass the vse tests? I believe I made about 6-7 errors across all 3.

That’s something you’ll never know....each company decide on different pass rates. The scoring for OPC exams are so secretive

Just wanted to throw it out there that it would obviously be nice to help each other, but there’s a few things spring to mind:
1) If you get the tests, you will get practice material. You don’t need to ask, it would be unfair for people who didn’t get to ask (because they went first) to give you an advantage of what to expect.
2) If you struggle at practice, you should just try your best. Asking on a forum is unlikely to help - these tests are designed to find a very specific % of people who are ‘highly tuned’ for the role.
3) We probably don’t need ‘secrecy’ but allegations of people trying to withhold info, refer to 1. Just wait for the tests to come through, do the practice, relax and do the real thing. It’s that easy.
