forgot to say in earlier post:
20913 has an LED unit, as fitted by Merseyside. surprised they left that in but removed all CCTV! it was repainted for Merseyside, but could have done with being repanelled first!

Are you sure Preston have any minibuses left?!?

I only ask because regular minibus runs, such as the 113's & 150/151, have had Dart's and Versa's operating them, including the erstwhile 25225, I'm pretty sure one day the whole 113 route was Versa operated, and i can't recall any other minibus routes that Stagecoach have (apart from the 4) as most minibus route seem to be run by Preston Bus.

Yes we do, although we're as short as West Cumbria are when it comes to them!
The 4, 4A, 113, 150, 151 are all on the minibus rosta, plus the short 14 in the evening. However we also have a small rosta for the 5 and C25 Ribble Valley services up around Longridge, Blackburn and Clitheroe. Priority for minis goes to these, which takes 2 vehicles. The 113 can quite easily fit a Dart/Versa around and we used to use the 329** on the 150/151. The 4 used to have anything on, i've taken B10M's and deckers up there in the past but its prefered it has a Solo on if possible. Basically when mini's are not available its the next smallest vehicle up, so therefore usually Darts or Versas. Also we only have 2 Versa's and the 113 requires 3 buses, but there is every chance a Dart could have been on there too.

Looks like possibly 34579 could have gone on loan to cover the start of the new contract if the Enviro's are still on delivery... possibly means if another goes 47001/2 could come to Preston from Monday to cover these, we'll just have to wait and see.

As a point, we have 47486,7 (150), 47490-2 (113), 47455/6,673-5 (Ribble Valley) and 47494 (Preston North End)... count them, the minibus PVR at Frenchwood is....10, leaving one engineering/breakdown/accident spare hence the more frequent use of bigger vehicles.

kinda similar to Lillyhall there!
official minibus PVR is 12. there is a total of 14 minibuses, of which includes the single Vario and the single mini Dart, and 3 knackered KX51 Solo's = common usage of B10M's on low floor advertised town services. surprisingly, the Solo's have been behaving themselves while the weather has been hot! it has been the MAN E300's dying out on us!!!
no doubt that if 47001 and 47002 came to West Cumbria, they'd replace 34079 and 42025 rather than be additionals!

might be worth pointing out that Lillyhall is 3 minibuses down from pre-flood operation, despite the minibus PVR not really changing! (1 down on route 1, 1 up on route 47, 1 down on route 58.)

interestingly, on the stagecoach website 46 46A 46B (Harrington West Cumbria) and 47 (Seaton West Cumbria) are listed as 'low-floor' routes - while 50/51 (Moorclose West Cumbria) isn't O.o

aye, the low floor advertisement for Moorclose Circulars wasn't on the reprinted timetables in april for some reason! route 1 in Whitehaven wasn't printed as low floor in the timetables either, but on the service change list that was in the bus station before christmas, it had the low floor advertisement on that!

A travellers solo has been involved in an RTA with a pedestrian at the junction of North Rd and Chapel St, thoughts to those involved.

The Solo involved in the accident was YE52 FGX, it was working the 12.57 departure from the Bus Station. It was a cyclist NOT a pedestrian involved.

Lillyhall's 35248 - http://gallerynorth.fotopic.net/p65575398.html
It will be it's first repaint since new, and the first of the four to be done aswell, I have a sneaky feeling the MAN's won't be far behind!!

North West repaint policy is every 3-4 years depending on how busy the paint shop is, hence the 56 plate Darts at 3-3 1/2 years are getting treated now. I doubt the 08 plate MAN's won't be touched for another year to 18 months at least.
This changes of course if the vehicle has/is due to be transfered, when at least most vehicles get a touch up (in the case of some of the ex Chorley Tridents) or a full repaint (especially if they were last at Frenchwood)! And of course if its been accident damaged to such an extent or carried an overall advert for some time (47490 on an 07 plate ex PNE livery being an example).

they are in rather bad condition like. they need fully repanelled (especially the vents on the offside rear!).
would be even nicer if they were replaced by something stronger, but there's no chance! not until clowns from UK head office actually come and see the state of the buses and how some routes are killing gearboxes on buses!

22807 is a bit of a shed  Vibrates like hell when idle.

NO IT WAS NOT, The incident involved a cyclist and a pedestrain, the bus was not involved in any way only happened to be at the junction waiting to clear

The enviros are very ill! As i said to cainebj, pot-holed distington don't help, they really will be in tatters in a year or so. Drivers don't seem to care fr them as they do with other buses, you really wouldnt think that they are one of the new generations at LL...... need urgent work on them

You will not be seeing the 200s for while yet

Lillyhall's 20777 has been withdrawn and replaced by 20934.

Repaint was worth it then lol ;)

Is there any news on when Lancaster or even the North West will be switching to a new ticket machine system?

Also noticed this morning that a new bus shelter has been erected outside the entrance to the underpass by the level crossing. Not really sure why this has been done...

so thats 3 buses re-replaced then! been on disposals for a while, so i wouldn't have thought it'd have been re-replaced!
wonder when they'll realise that they've been replacing buses twice?!?
the temporary school stuff finishes in a few weeks, so LL's B10M PVR will be dropping by 3 (schools is 4 B10M's, but one of them "should be" what is used on 48 through the daytime). looks like it'll be 20790 and 2 M reg's going then at this rate! unless 20473 is still going to disposals as planned once it finishes at Lillyhall!

Its for when the bus stop side of underpass is closed we are going to be stopping on the hill.
X1s & 2-2As are going round north campus then underpass
3&4s going straight to south west then the underpass

When underpass opens again the X1s are staying round the north campus.

84 branded 07 solo on 89. The driver was pegging it heading toward fleetwood and over took a few cars which is something I haven't seen before! An 04 citi branded dart was on the 86/89 as well.

20795 on short 3's sounds quite ill.

I'm sure they know what they are doing!

got a bit of repetition going on! its just like the 32917 situation! (32917 having been replaced twice, then LL being reluctant to remove 40013 from service due to "having no replacement").
20918 joined the LL fleet to replace 20777 after the flood recovery work finished, now they've replaced it again while its on disposals. makes a lot of sense does that!

20195, 20473 and 35249 on 30 and 31. 35249 had 5 standee's en route to Maryport.
47007 on 50.
47474 on 51.
47059 and 47006 on Harrington.
47061 and 47617 (or was it 47616 haha) on Seaton.
47024 on 48 this afternoon.
20761 on X4.
16653 on short 300.
16651, 16652, 16654 and 16734 on full length 300.
14258, 16447, 20905, 20910, 20962, 20994 and 47024 on Staff Shuttles.
16714 was sat in Whitehaven with "Sorry, Not In Service" on the LED. it now has Cumberland Motor Services legal lettering and has had "in Lancashire" removed.
