Drivers Eye Views you wish Video 125 made

What routes in what era, from the late 80s onwards, do wish Video 125 filmed? I’d pick:

Royal Scot in 1989, before DVTs with a wider range of traction and rolling stock.
Ramsgate to Charing Cross via Dover instead of the “1066 Electrics” video.

More Irish routes when they were still diesel hauled, they only managed Rosslare and Sligo before the units came. The Galway line pre-resignalling would've been interesting to see and the branch to Westport

They do that with their newest releases, but given the way the older ones were recorded perhaps there's no longer a master recording without commentary over it?

I'd like to see some Cardiff Valleys cab rides, also Liverpool Street-Cambridge, Birmingham-Leicester-Peterborough and Preston- Copy Pit- Leeds, plus the Durham Coast and the Portsmouth - Bath line. Some of these are available on other companies' productions, but the Kingfisher cab rides always got on my nerves because I found the presenter's giggly voice and conversation too irritating to listen to. His inane questions showed that he hadn't done his research before filming. Video 125 can bombard you with more historical detail than some people want, but nowadays you can switch it off. And they did a very good offer a while ago, allowing you to replace old VHS tapes with DVD equivalents at a very low price just by returning the VHS jackets.

I once bought a tape (not Video 125) of the Calder valley line but threw it away in disgust after I heard it confuse Castleton near Rochdale with Castleton in the Hope valley.

Some of the Railscene ones grate, but equally the traction inspectors can be priceless, both in their knowledge and seeing how things were run back in the day. The Cambrian, Merseyrail, Sheffield to Huddersfield and Middlesbrough to Whitby ones can be singled out as particularly special.

There’s a priceless bit in the Shrewsbury to Aberystwyth cab ride where Jeremy points to the track and asks if what he’s seeing are catch points. The traction inspector replies “no, they’re breathers, good lord, catch points on a single line?!”

Liverpool Street - King's Lyn gets my vote - one of the few 'Main Lines' not covered.

Yes it's a pity this wasn't done whilst the route was still dominated by 317s. Very unlikely to get the chance now.

Likewise King's Cross to Kings Lynn on a 365 would have been good.

The latter would be good, given they've covered two of the lines between Glasgow and Edinburgh perhaps the Bathgate and Carstairs lines could be done as part of a double set as with the other two routes?

There was one on YouTube a few years back filmed in about 1990 (Stansted branch seen under construction and Tottenham Hale pre-1992 modernisation) - 47 hauled all the way. I think got taken down due to breaching copyright.

No commentary, aside from the very loud driver manager also in the cab.

Is anyone aware of any free Metrolink cab rides on the net anywhere? Or recommended DVD's?
