52268 is being being prepared to return to the road as West Cumbria's training bus, this will mean all new drivers will be trained on automatics only.

Morecambe expecting new Scanias, Chorley expecting some Tridents... S reg Tridents replacing R reg Olympians, not that much of an age difference and certinally would be useful when having to fill in on 125/126's. Anyway, pure guess.
AFAIK Frenchwood are expecting nothing new, although look out for a couple of new vehicles in the Lancaster area due very soon... answers on postcards please and nothing to do with Morecambe (too kind on the clues)!

I had thought about S reg's going to Chorley but the thought of an S reg on the 125 is horrid lol even if it wasn't on a regular basis! Surely they would just send some of our Olys down to replace the rotten ones.

Mmmmm new vehicles that aren't from ME so either another bus company(Travellers, KLCH) or something new on the 89 even though Frenchwood aren't due anything...pulling at strings here lol

i hope they have sense to withdraw 42565 before people are trained on automatic only!!!

42565 is on the disposal list....it was replaced at Lillyhall by 42025.

it may be on the disposals list, but it hasn't left service! even the 3 months when it was listed reserve, it was still out and about! 42025 has been in service for nearly 2 months now, working alongside 42565 on the 58 most days. even with being a minibus up (42565), there still seems to be a slight minibus shortage!

16655 has had the gearbox taken out and put into 16667 has it has been out of action for a while and also the LED blind has been taken out to be used as a spare incase any of the others breakdown, so it looks likely the scrapyard will cometh.

Unsure yet, they`ll probably leave to the last minute like they did with 16648 before that went.
14256 was having the gearbox taken out earlier today so it must have broken down either monday or last week.

You never know some ex Manchesters may end up there from ME although unlikely, stranger things have happened!

Glad to say the B10M (20916) which had an all expenses paid over nighter courtesy of Chorley departed off up the M6 to Perth this morning ouf what a shed..that clipper card machine should have been taken off for the museum


16640 is progressing well and should be ready for the trip to re-paint shortly keep an eye out its mostly covered in silver panels

Its undecided what trident's will be allocated to replace the oly's that are u/s theres a possiblilty we may get our last three back 18157, 58 and 59 due to fitting CCTV when we had those, in any case nothing less than 04 plates will be coming. The olympians will all need replacing soon anyway so it will be no surprise for them to be dissapearing at some point this year.

Well the obvious is solos or Versa's. If its not obvious I would go for E200's or bigger vehicles like E300's (although not sure if they are to big for the route?) Then there's the solo SR's but I think that would be a first for SC...Are they due within the month?

Right so nothing less then 04's rules out our S reg's. If they leave it could be for open top conversion in another region. So either 2005 Tridents from us or most likely Tridents from Preston.

It was on Service 50 Lancaster - Carnforth via Kellets, the other day.
Only saw it the once yesterday, when I was talking to my mother on Bus Station, can't remember what service it was on now.

As for the new vehicles, you are in the right ball park - can tell you the 86/89 contracts have been retained by Stagecoach AND it will get new vehicles, 2 of them... any ideas...(Not as obvious as you may think)!

Having been on the route, and due to the turning point at Glasson Dock being where its at, any bigger then Dart I would say would be too big!!

So I would guess that Stagecoach, maybe going for something like the Plaxton Primo, which is the similar size to the Optare Solo, but more relaible (in my experience).

Primo would be awesome for Stagecoach! 7.9m long, 2.4m wide, and still seats 28! (Stagecoach spec Solo's are 8.8m long and 2.5m wide for the standard ones, and 8.8m long & 2.33m wide for the Slimlines. standard M880 seats 27, whilst M880SE seats 28.) i had the full capacity lists somewhere from Reays ones, but have lost them! you don't get as many standee's as you do on Solo's, but it is smaller in both length and width! the Cummins engine in them is rather powerful too! never heard a complaint from regular passengers on the Reays ones up here! (my dad lives in a small village on the "CityHopper 75" route, so i know a lot of the people who use it regularly commuting to work).

its also gotta be taken into account that the Primo is technically Alexander Dennis Primo these days! (it is listed on the ADL website as ADL Primo 2, along with the Plaxton Centro). with it now being sold under Alexander Dennis (retaining Plaxton name and badge), could it be a winner for Stagecoach?

Look out for Scanias arriving at the start of July

The first 4 will be 10`plates and the second lot that will arriving in august will be 60`plates, unsure what fleetnumber order they coming in.
14265 is down for gearbox repairs as previously mentioned and is awaiting a new/secondhand one as it is on the lifts.
16655 the seats might be going with it to the scrapyard as they are not needed at morecambe and finally a rant,
WHAT COMPLETE UTTER MORON TAKES A CAN OF PAINT ON THE BUS AND DROPS IT ALLOVER THE FRONT OF 22814 NEAR THE COFFIN DODGER SEATS!!!!!

When ADL was revamping the Primo, there was talks of it being renamed Eviro E100.

As I have said before somewhere on here, theres a steep hill in Kendal called Beast Banks, when I was on service with the Primo it use to go up Beast Banks faster on tick-over with a full standing load, then a Dart going flat-out!

Also the regular passengers at Princess, use to say that they prefered the Primo, then Solo.

I'm going to place my bate on 2 E200s for the 86/89 Of course I'm all this on the4 assumption that what they are getting for it will be brand new not passed on from somewhere else. If it were cast offs Id say just a few darts.

Does this also mean that two vehicles will be freed up to move elsewhere?

It starts on 27th June,though I do not know how long LCC have given Stagecoach to get new vehicles.

I also have seen people asking why 47474 is in reserve, this was involved in an RTA where it ended up colliding with a tree and the tree won with the bus having severe front end damage and the driver a broken leg in several places. The bus with its twisted front axle was sent back to Optares to be repaired, but is still causing problems hence its withdrawal.
