So here is an idea using the currently unused international platforms at Stratford International. Basing this on the Ouigo/EasyJet model of using secondary stations/airports for lower costs the stratford london bound platform could be used as an arrival platform and the Europe bound platform for departures. Reversing could be done by the train continuing on to reverse at St Pancras or the NNL link.
Path and stock permitting (maybe use the old eurostar?)

I assume you're talking international services?
The major issue is surely the significant cost of paths through the Tunnel which would reduce the price differential with Eurostar.

Incidentally, Ouigo are increasingly using main stations, and Easyjet (and even Ryanair) main airports.

Ouigo would also presumably have to stand the cost of manning the security facilities at Stratford solo.

The international facilities at Stratford have remained unused (except the 2012 Olympics overflow) because the Goverment didn't want to man them in addition to St Pancras, Ebbsfleet and Ashford. I doubt there would be much demand for departures/arrivals there, so just accept that the money is spent and they remain there (at relatively little cost) for emegencies if required. This thread is another of those about a solution looking for a problem.

The situation that allows secondary stations to be cheaper on the continent does not really apply to Stratford International.

There aren't really many surplus paths given that HS1-international inherently has dedicated platforms at St Pancras, so those platforms can't be used for anything else.
