due to an unintended design flaw there is a rapidly increasing number of incidents of bus surfing in Leeds - is this just a flaw with the First Leeds order or all builds & if its a flaw across the whole build is this just a problem (the surfing) local to Leeds or more widespread?

I believe the flaw of people being stupid is fairly general across the country! Is there a specific fitting that's being used that's unique to these or is it the same on other First specified Streetdecks?

I'm assuming you're referring to the vent along the top of the engine cover.
It's not unique to Leeds and has caused similar issues elsewhere.

To be fair, it's also happening with Versas. There's a video in one of the local papers this week showing a group of youths on the back of one of the 464 Versas ran by Transdev... Very dangerous and ridiculously stupid.

Referring to this as a design flaw is nonsense. The actions of criminally stupid people should not be a consideration in the design, only it's practical purpose, visual element and safety to legitimate users.

I hope your country's legal system hasn't descended to the point mine has where people that engage in this behaviour can successfully extort huge sums from transport operators trough the courts when they get a boo-boo from falling off.

to flying snail yes unfortunately our legal system has fallen to that standard - -- example recently was two youths broke into a rail yard climbed onto a freight wagon (double stack car transporter) to steal car radio's one youth came into contact with the overhead electric wires and died train company was successfully sued (for a large sum of money) on a very flimsy count - that the yard could have been made more secure,
