Hi,

I had a journey delayed into Chester yesterday with TfW due to the train running slow and stopping at at least 4 signals and being held at one for a good 8 minutes (FJ10).

16 minutes late arriving at Chester so I duly put in a claim for Delay Repay as is my right.

Lo and behold this morning TfWs agents Travel Compensation Services LTD, emailed me saying they have declined the claim as they couldn’t find any delay.

RTT are quoting the arrival time as 1334 1/4. (Scheduled time was 1320) I am disputing this and wonder if this is the time the train arrived into the signal section?

How do I prove the train arrived later then TfW are claiming? Realise the claim isn’t worth very much but it’s more on principle then anything else at this point.

The train in question was 1B11 1236 LIV CTR 24/02/20.

Thanks.

Thanks.
If I read RTT aright, public arrival was 1323, and your claim must be against that.

Tfw were correct you were only delayed 11 or 12 minutes compared to the booked arrival time of 1323.

Thanks both, I didn’t realise there was two times quoted on RTT. (Simple and detailed) I only knew about WTT (which I thought was the expected time) and the actual time.

The time in simple mode of course, must be the public time.

However, did you have a connecting service out of Chester? If the delay caused you to miss such a connection and arrive at your final destination 15 or more minutes late then you have a valid claim. If Chester was your final destination though, it is sadly slightly under the 15 minutes required.

No, that was the end of my journey.

Thanks anyway
