Hello, I'm new to the forum and this is my first post.
Does anyone know any times for vintage trains' 'Britannia Banker' tour on Sat May 29th? (especially when it might be going up the Lickey Incline!)

Thanks in advance,

Bob.

Do you think the times will be published on uksteam.info sometime in the week?

Also keep an eye on the traction. From what I've heard the Brit is unavailable and something more in keeping with the region could well appear.

6201 is rumoured to be the replacement.

Vintage Trains are yet to receive any confirmed timings from Network Rail still. There is apparent murmurs about steam bans due to the long dry and hot period we've just experienced not being conducive to two steam locos working at 100% to defeat the Lickey bank.

On national-preservation is was said that the train planning computer system was having problems leading to the delays of timings.

Tyseley at 0800
Swindon at 1150
Didcot 1235-1515

I'd expect uksteam.info to have the details later today......please

Admittedly a bit late now, but yes, the Lizzie was running to time, and fantastic she looked powering through Cheltenham this evening. I'd just got back from the GWR 175 event at the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway, and had only just remembered about the charter 10 minutes before I got to the station, what perfect timing!

Saw it on the Lickey Bank, never seen so many people out for a railtour before!! Both engines (6201 and 9600) sounded absolutely brilliant. Video will be on Youtube soon!!

I spent a few hours filming Lizzie yesterday, what a wonderful sight....and sound.
Congratulations to all involved with the tour and I must say it was a linesiders dream, well apart from the weather.

Anyway my video is at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CHV9Ii_q20o finishing off with the Lickey.
