The Scanias are coming in august i heard it from a driver.
47159/60 have left morecambe for repaint at carlisle before moving to scotland.
Does anybody know what the jubillee colours used to be?.

Not long at all then for the Scans!!! Shame ME weren't cheeky and swapped the LED's in the 04's with the ones on the old solos lol.

New are due into service on Monday August 30th

The Jubilee colours were gold and purple as now seen on Stagecoach Eats Midlands Connect buses

Not that I can say I'm afraid

Had a jaunt up to the lakes this afternoon for a couple of hours

20965 was on the Morrisons service in Kendal

The chap with the dalek was up at Windermere, is is now here instead of Bowness?

17012 17013 17015 17016 and 16294 were doing the honurs on the 599, the couple I sampled ceratinly sounded a lot smoother than when we had then.

20219 was parked up at Windermere Rail Station at 1400
with 20459 showing 553 on the blind and 20127 ready to head off to Coniston

Nothing to shout about down at Bowness although one of this weeks local Shearings 230 was there.
CX55 DWK passed on the 618 also now fully liveried like the other two.

Lakes school kick out time 33170 on Coniston with 20459 heading off to Dungeon Ghyll. A futher B10M was in the school grounds, I'm assuming 20219.

14248 was doing the honours on the 555 dupe to Ambleside, then onto the 557 Kendal via Bowness, with Joanna giving it some lick coming out of Windermere Rail Station up the hill.

Just enough time to pop into Booths to see what £1 a bottle beer they had in, Adnams Gunhill, so a 12 box went home

18372 was running back off the D1A followed by 14253

Partial victory for Stagecoach over the Competition Comission;

Ground 1: The CC was wrong to investigate the merger - rejected
Ground 2: The wrong counterfactual argument was used - accepted
Ground 3: Covered by Ground 2
Ground 4: The remedy imposed by the CC was disproportionate - accepted because of Ground 2.

In particular, I shall quote the last few paragraphs of the report (http://www.catribunal.org.uk/files/1145_Stagecoach_Judgment_210510.pdf)

The Tribunal’s unanimous judgment is therefore that –
(a) Ground 1 of the application fails;
(b) Ground 2 of the application succeeds to the extent and for the reasons set out
in this judgment;
(c) It is not necessary to determine Ground 3;
(d) Ground 4 succeeds to the extent that follows on from the success of Ground 2.

144. The order that would normally follow would be to quash parts of the Decision and remit
them back to the Commission for reconsideration. In its Notice of Application,
Stagecoach stated that despite its challenge to the Decision and the remedy imposed, it
intended to proceed with trying to find a buyer for the business in accordance with the
46 undertakings which it had given to the Commission and which it did not seek to have
suspended on an interim basis. In the light of that, it is appropriate to hear further
submissions from the parties as to the appropriate order to follow from this judgment.

That was my first thought themaster985, but if you read Stagecoach's submission to the Tribuneral carefully, you'll see that Stagecoach are effecetively saying "We'll play along with the Competition Commission while the appeal is ongoing. After that - who knows?"
Stagecoach have realised that pretending to play along with the CC saves them a lot of money, and they may jsut get a good deal if they decide to sell anyway.

No problems, i will let Daz know. He only asked because he lives near the depot at White Lund.

I don't know myself yet, if i am able to go or not. If i do go i will have a car full (Family).

Just got word that a JB Pickthall Coach has been involved in a RTC near Braithwaite on the A66 whilst heading to Whitehaven on a school run from Keswick. It seems that the vehicle has rolled over, a HGV was also involved. I'll keep you posted.
