Unfortunately the only choice at this time is to wait for the return journey of the same bus. We board the 21:36 First Scotland East service H2 to Larbert (Forth Valley Royal Hospital) where we arrive at 22:25 on Friday evening.

We then take the 1149 Arriva Midlands service 62 to Hazelslade, Primary School arriving at 1206 on Saturday afternoon.

At what stop in Hednesford did you board the bus and how far away is that stop from the railway station where the previous posting arrived at?

Hednesford Railway Station...

Arriva Midlands, when I rang them, said there is no actual bus stop outside Hednesford railway station, so a walk from the railway station would be needed to the nearest bus stop which is on Railway View.

Hope this helps.

Railway View is only 150 yards from the station in Hednesford so that seems to work - carrying on from Hazelslade -

We grab a pie and a pint at the Hazelslade Inn while waiting for the next Arriva Midlands service 62 (the only route available here) at 13:36, alighting at Burntwood (Victory Avenue) at 13:49 on Saturday afternoon.

The stop is Railway View on one side of the road and Railway Station on the other. But as said, we've carried on as it really doesn't matter!

A typical commuter-belt part of north-west England
That matter of a 150 yard walk seems to confirm what Arriva Midlands said to me and contradicts the assertion made that there was a bus stop outside the railway station.

It is normally accepted on this quiz that if someone leaves a railway station and takes a walk to the nearest bus station, the posting always gives either time of the walk and/or the distance from the railway station to the bus stop concerned.

Fair enough, but the stop called 'Railway Station' upon using Google to plan the route gave me no reason to assume a walk was needed. Whether a walk was needed or not the journey wouuld still be the same. Surely there is no need for a big debate every time there is a slight oversight... it's a game! I'm glad my colleagues in Luton had the time to help you.

I think it was quite obvious that the bus stop was close to the railway station.
