Hi all,

looking back on the thameslink route in the 319 years it saw many wild liveries surface, too many to mention! Nowadays with the 700's all being grey, minus 700155 with the pride vinyl, does anyone believe any fancy liveries will appear in time, or are these days long gone?

I would personally love to see some variety again on TL 700's, I absolutely loved spotting on the MML when thameslink had 387's and 319's because it was always guess work as to what you'd see next.

There's plenty of odd liveries around. 66s with various bright colours, including one designed by a school child.

you right, plenty I still need to see too,

I need to edit the post, as I meant specifically for Thameslink, 700's! :)

WMR 172 is rather odd, I personally dislike it as I think the colours clash.

Remember the snot green and yellow that Central had their 158s in at one point? I think it was Central Trains...

I liked the Thameslink Programme 319s and the 'trial' Southeastern liveries (465s with no stripes with yellow or blue doors, or the 375s in Jubille livery or the lilac liveries (including the Networker livery which I still believe is the best livery ever put on an Electrostar)).

I've got some shots of 319 in the Lyca mobile livery but that's about it. Did remember seeing the red rainbow livery but didn't get any pictures of it (as far as I can remember) I'll spend tomorrow having a look and see if I can find my old photos of it.
I remember a 483 also carried a dinosaur livery.

All of the operational 483s carried the dinosaur livery.

Central Trains house colours were green and blue, though the passenger doors were indeed yellow. The welcome days of early privatisation when operators developed liveries that were striking and distinct from one another.

Really displeased that I cannot find my picture of the thameslink programe red rainbow 319. Whilst I dig out my photos of the lyca mobile 319, heres some considerably poor quality photos I took on my cheap phone back in 2010 of the 319 in South Central livery

FGW fag packet or dynamic lines? Actually both really nice, but they must have been both very expensive and labour intensive to apply!

Fag pack nice? You’re having a laugh. It was horrible, especially in contrast to the GWT “Merlin” that it replaced.
