Better tot up the mileage then - must be close to 1000 with this one seeing as had it as a 47 as well!

The one York-Liverpool? That was to turn the stock at Liverpool to put the deltic back on the front rather than specifically for mechanical reliability reasons.

Yeah, had 68004 on the back for the Mazey Day this year, when 2 37s were on the front. For insurance purposes though. Also used for the reversal into Long Rock. The Class 50s from the year prior didn't have a loco on the rear just had a genny on the back and a shunter was in the genny with a radio to communicate to the drivers.

Tickets have arrived now. Haulage is still as advertised. Sadly the Penistone line has had to be dropped from the itinerary due to pathing constraints (not surprising on that line) but loco haulage on the stand-in Hallam Line is still pretty rare so I will take that.

57002+57003 allocated to go light from Crewe to Eastleigh in the early hours of tomorrow.
20302+20305 will leave Crewe in the morning to head to York.

I'm guessing that will remain on depot until the evening when it will trundle its merry way over to the station to relieve the 20s!

As far as I'm aware, it's still 68009 at the moment! Meanwhile, 57002+57003 are on their way to Eastleigh, and 20302+20305 are heading to York!

On dont worry about me I never wanted to go on it, and getting the quotes has only firmed up that opinion

Last spinner I did had 2 x 66s, 4 x37s,2x 57s and a 47 and I'm sure it was less that £60
