Northern Pacer Withdrawals - Info?

Reports on WNXX that 142009/15/38 were moved from Heaton to Gascoigne Wood today?

These were taken there a few days ago.

In case anyone is interested, I have heard that Northern are planning to store some 142s at Holbeck at some point this week, in the recently revived sidings to the south of Nineveh Road.

Probably don't need many Pacers now. Not much on Northern is running today as they've seemingly been cancelled and tomorrow is the day that many new or cascaded units enter service.

Let's hope the driver's got a bin bag to sit in to keep the draughts at bay, 142 cab heaters only heat the cabs at up to about 35mph, after that the airflow reverses as it gets overwhelmed

Counting up all the withdrawals listed above I estimate still 45 available for service. Big puzzle to me as to what will replace them with my best guess being only 13 195s in store and 13 awaiting delivery.

There are 47 Class 142s still in the fleet, although I expect the amount will continue to drop quite rapidly now they've been withdrawn in the North East.

As far as I'm aware, there are 30 Class 195s in service, with 19 in storage and 9 pending delivery.

I was on the 15.00 departure from Hull Paragon to Scarborough, today, and as we passed by Botanic Gardens Depot, there was a line up of three 142’s. I couldn’t see any unit numbers unfortunately.

I must be out of date Of the 3 car 195s I have all but the extra 3 ordered delivered with most in use and just a few in store. Lots of 2 cars in store and a few still awaited.
Still based on your numbers how will 28x195s replace 47 pacers.
