Why does '2E53 0646 Airdrie to Balloch' skip Drumchapel, Drumry and Singer (SX) when it's scheduled to stop on the timetable?

SX = Saturdays Excepted

Perhaps there has been some late running and this is the operationally preferable one to skip stops to recover the Timetable. Hope you don't mind me mentioning it but this is a train schedule and not a Diagram. A diagram is the pre-planned working for a unit for the day and to which a unit is allocated

It's on real time trains as a VAR schedule (variation of the normal working timetable) from 30th September to 13th December. Based on that I'd guess it's probably an altered autumn timetable that's just not shown in the timetable pdf document. Being an alteration that lasts for so long, it probably should be shown in the public timetable pdf, but in this case it appears it isn't.

I would say diagram as it's already pre-planned to work all week Mon-Fri

'Diagram' is this service, plus the next one the train operates (probably back the other way), plus the next one, and so on from start of day to end of day. All that lot together is the diagram.

Okay, service
