Agreed, it looks rather the same as the other SWR Repaints to me. The non large stickered side looks better.

I also think the way SWR has painted the front of these units, it certainly makes them look a lot smarter than the LNWR green fronted efforts.

Interesting, thanks to this new picture, and going back to the point about the “First” markings, the right hand side signage is slightly more logical, but I still don’t think the line should extend right over the door...

IMO the paintwork on the Desiros looks much better than on the 442s, presumably because the 442s are older trains.

Completely different construction quality. The Desiros have smooth bodysides with flush bonded windows. The 442s, as with all Mk 3s, have rippled sides like a very calm, but not perfectly still stretch of water, plus metal framed glazing.

Well, they will certainly have some stock on their hands to paint, or at least clean, in the next month from Monday.

Didn't see 444006 in Northam whilst on my commute this morning, for the first time in a good month or so. However, no photos or reports of 006 in service... suspect it will be soon.

Cab was damaged due to a fatality and was being rebuilt at Northam over the last month, following its repaint. Was expected to enter service around this sort of time.

Yeah, there was discussion about 444006 2 days ago and it entered service today

159022 is currently getting it's C6 and new livery, and all other 159/0s have SWR livery.

And I beleive that all the 159/1s (159101-108) are in the newer SWT livery (some differ slightly) with SWR branding but I don't know whether they will be done after 022 is finished or not as they are PRM compliant already so they may not see the urgency.
