I was wondering if anyone has heard of this discount card. It can be obtained by BCC employees and offers 50% discount on local buses and 34% discount on Chiltern Railways. Could one purchase a Chiltern Railways station to London discounted One Day Travelcard using this card ? Would you also be entitled to discounts on the Chiltern tickets to Birmingham ?
I was also wondering what "discount code" would be printed on the ticket e.g. NSE, SNR , Y-P etc.

Thanks

Buckinghamshire County Council Discount Scheme

Special conditions

*Season Tickets can be issued from one month or longer for up to one year validity. Not valid on weekly season tickets.

Only open to selected councils who operate a company-wide green transport policy.

No discounts will apply to London Underground Travel, e.g. ODTC.

The discount can be obtained on services between Birmingham Snow Hill and London Marylebone, and between London Marylebone and Aylesbury.

The discount extends to up to 4 adults (including the cardholder) and 6 children.

The group must travel together at all times.

Children will travel at the child fare, less 34% discount.

Not available on promotional tickets including: GroupSave, Warwick Castle, £10 after 10 a.m. and the Chiltern Family Ticket.

The code on STAR is BUD so at a guess, that may be what prints on the ticket.

Most tickets such as this in our area have "LACON" printed on them, which I have always understood to mean - "Local Authority CONcession".

They're only valid for Chiltern tickets, not on LU.

Appears as DISC on the tickets, with a 34% discount.

Cheers,

Barry

I believe to find it on Avantix T. you enter D34 in the discount line. This automatically takes 34% of the fare*. Can't find the appropriate discount code otherwise.

*And works for most other routes on the System - most as I haven't tried them all!
