Should Delay Repay be enhanced for lengthy delays trapped on trains?

How about £100 on top of Delay Repay per hour if trapped on board a train once you reach 2hrs? That would concentrate minds. That sort of swingeing penalty worked to substantially reduce airline overbooking.

Make it more expensive not to sort it properly.

Fully agree, there needs to be some kind of sanction to get the industry to find solutions to this recurring problem, rather than the usual excuses as to why it happens and why it takes so long to sort out.
