Where to watch Euro & 395s

Hi,
Anyone know the best place to stand and se the euro stock, and the new 395s - close to London?
Am down for a day, so would be good to catch up.

St. P often has this stock in - I know also it has reasonably good lighting. But you have to get to the end of a platform (EMT? [deff not Thameslink!]) to see Eurostar units coming and going.

May be worth signing in as a Station Visitor - no-one will let you through to Eurostar!

Ebbsfleet or Stratford International stations are both good for going to see the 373s and 395s, Ebbsfleet is better as it has high and low level platforms.

Return fares from St Pancras to Stratford is £6.50/£8.50 (Off Peak/Peak) and to Ebbsfleet is £12.50/£19.10 (Off Peak/Peak). The High Speed Upgrade (if you are in possession of a Travelcard IIRC - hopefully Yorkie or someone can clarify this) to Ebbsfleet is £3.20 each way, a return is £4.90.

I'd say Ebbsfleet is worse as you don't get as many trains because of where you're standing. I think I've seen videos from a bridge near Dagenham Dock station (or somewhere nearby).

I didn't know Ebbsfleet was in the Travelcard zones?

I've upgraded my Travelcard before to get a return to Ebbsfleet at the upgrade price, it could be that I only had the upgrade fare as I travelled from Sheerness.

I've never liked photographing at St Pancras, too many staff loitering around for my liking, whereas Ebbsfleet is nowhere near as busy.
