Interest in Wayfarer bus ticket rolls from Japan

I have been trying to scrape a few quid together by selling some old timetables and bus/train memorabilia on eBay.

I have a few rolls of Wayfarer bus tickets (blank) from the early 1990s.

For some reason a lot of the interest in these items seems to come from Japanese buyers.

Does anyone have any idea why this would be?

I too have noticed this when I've been clearing out, and they seem to be far more interested in the rolls / timetables that have adverts on them? For what reason though, I don't know.

I believe it’s for paper art, decoupage I think. I sold off loads from my collection a while back and most went to Japan.
