In RAIL Barry Doe says Adult £29; Child £14.50; Disabled, Senior or 16-25 Railcard £19.15, Family (up to 6 people, max 2 adults) £58.

This does not appear to be one of the Ranger tickets giving a discount to Family Railcard groups.

Northerns Day rangers seem much better value and offer Family railcard discounts.

East Midlands Day Ranger

Adult = £27.60
Child = £13.80
Family tickets = £55.00 (available for one or two adults with up to four children).

There are no further Railcard reductions off the Family ticket price.
Senior, 16-25 and Disabled Persons 34% on full price.

You could save yourself some money and get 1 adult ticket and 1 child ticket separate which would cost £41.10.

East Midlands Day Ranger is very expensive, given it covers an area much less than the East Midlands Rover.
