i'm guessing the lack of stuff arising on here means there's nothing happening in North West ... as usual!

52413 was towed to Carlisle one night this week

FINALLY! something interesting happening in North West! hahahaha
bit interesting that its been towed to Carlisle like, after sitting at Lillyhall for over a year!
--- old post above --- --- new post below ---
47023 on 50.
47616 on 51.
33167, 33168 and 47006 on Harrington and 101.
42534 and 42565 on 58.
42566 on Staff Shuttle's to and from Footbridge.
47024 and 47005 on Staff Shuttles to and from Lillyhall.
16652 and 16653 on Whitehaven - Workington 300.
20759 and 20761 been flying around too.

heard that Stagecoach Manchester are really having problems with their MX59 batch of E400's. bloody MAN's! yet another broke down today, with many fitters refusing to go out to it, due to them being fed up of them! they'd rather work on the ADL Cummins powered versions! also heard that a formal complaint has been put in to Stagecoach about them! so thats underpowered, wide turning circle, and rather unreliable to the extent that fitters are fed up of fixing them constantly!

20908 seen on a 104 near Center Parcs this evening.

Wandering off topic a bit, but perhaps of interest: Alba Travel has two Optare Solos, YJ10EZA and YJ10EZZ, for the Hadrian's Wall Bus service. Both are currently in white.

Grand Prix is using Plaxton Centro YJ58FFO on the 563, presumably as a low floor replacement for VF03ZJY. It is also in allover white.

i've wanted a picture of that for a while now! havn't managed it! 20768 had it on when it was in Carlisle, but then it broke down, so it was put to Sorry, Not In Service <( all other times i've been out and about, they've just put "Workington 300" on it <(

20918 on 30s, with Dead display, showing "Sorry, Not in Service" and a lovely handcrafted "Blue Peter" paper/black marker display gracefully sellotaped to the window!!

hi :)

Day Hi is iclandic for hello ;) (Think that will fool him DL ..)

Also noted that 20859 was the B10 from Merseyside, (i thought it was but when i came to type it, it was too close to 20895 for me to be sure) anyway it seems to be in Chorley's allocation as VOR, but that may be because its in situ and its a note to make sure its not used.. Which may be the case as 20750 is still in Cowling and sometimes shows up on the VOR sheet

I know this post is from last week, but I've done a bit of digging about this, and it appears that the emergency timetable 30 service north of the river was not advertised as easy access, and even if it was, it would have said "where available", Therefor if there is a shortage of lo-liners on normal services south of the river, it is likely that B10M's will be used on the other side, which seems fair enough to me. ;)

the departures on the hour and half hour are operated on contract to Cumbria CC. in a newspaper report back in January, it was promised that at least 2 buses on the Maryport - Barepot 30 would be accessible (the promise coming from Stagecoach).
i found it rather bad when 34616 was on Staff Shuttle's to and from footbridge all day, whilst 4 B10M's were on Maryport 30. then the other day, 34616 being on X58 all day, whilst 3 B10M's were on Maryport 30. 34616 clearly being available if it as available for allocation to X58.

It seems you have the wrong information again, the only flood service to operate under contract is the 100, all others are operated commercially by Stagecoach, and as K768 DAO says there is no obligation for Stagecoach to provide a low floor service, however when operationally possible upto two low floor vehicles are sent to the north side of the river. You have to remember that vehicles are allocated to services early in the morning and that at this time some vehicles are still under repair and are released for service later in the day.

Does anyone have any info on what's happening down in Oxfordshire? I know they are getting a new bus way but they have an awful lot of brand new vehicles going in which must mean stuff coming out.
