Hello all,

This might have been covered before but I can’t seem to find it on here. Can this assessment be failed, if so does it count as a life lost? I’ve already done it online with MTR but will be sitting it in person with ARL this week. Would failing this affect my MTR application which I’m currently waiting on a DMI date for?

Thanks in advance

As far as I'm aware they aren't part of the OPC assessments and are generally used as a screening tool at the initial application stage or in conjunction with an MMI. If they were an OPC assessment then your pass with MTR would count and you wouldn't need to do it again. My advice would be to contact ARL and check anyway which should put your mind at rest.

It's not part of the psychometric testing , but you would only get two goes at them tests .if you failed , then they wouldn't affect your other test results but you would only be able to apply at companies that don't use them. Have you had the results from MTR or are you awaiting them , as you won't be able to sit them while waiting for the result. It would be upto Arriva if they accept them.

Thanks for the reply, I have passed all The psychometric tests with mtr. Funnily enough I got an email from ARL saying I don’t need to attend assessments and will be contacted about an interview date. So looks like it’s a bride I won’t have to cross.
