Just got my interview inviting to me an assessment day! Really over the moon as things in my current place aren’t fun right now. I really hope it goes well

Strange how this works, I only received my email today a week after you did and I also have the same date.

If you ask to move pools, you'll have to go through another DMI. If you failed it, you'd be out of both

So I have my stage 2 booked in October but have had an email today inviting me to the DMI next week. As the email says this is unusual and I don't know if to take this as positive for me?

One, it could be great and I get through the process faster.
Two, I don't have a great interview and don't even get to take the part 2

I want this to be a boost in the right direction and a sign that it could all happen a lot quicker for me if all goes well. anybody else had this happen to them?

Its unusual for GWR I think, but SWR do the DMI before the stage 2 (or more specifically the MMI) so its not unknown. You have to pass both so I suppose it doesn't really matter which way round it is!
