Pangbourne to Aberdeen

Sort of cat amongst the pigeons time! NR enquiries suggest all is fine with my journey below on 15th September (but that seems optimistic tbh) - advanced ticket Pangbourne to Aberdeen with seat reservations on all but the 1st journey.:
Board the 11:19 Great Western Railway service to London Paddington. You'll arrive at Reading at 11:29. Leave the train here.
Board the 12:12 Crosscountry service to Manchester Piccadilly. You'll arrive at Birmingham International at 13:36. Leave the train here.
Board the 13:53 Virgin Trains service to Edinburgh. You'll arrive at Haymarket at 18:11. Leave the train here.
Board the 18:41 Lner service to Aberdeen. Ticket used: Pangbourne to Aberdeen. You'll arrive at Aberdeen at 21:10
My concerns would be the 1353 from Birmingham International to Haymarket followed by the 1841 from Haymarket to Aberdeen - am I likely to be ok and if I'm delayed or the LNER train doesn't run, can I use my advance ticket on a Scotrail or XCounty service if this is the case??

You are likely to be fine.

If you're delayed then the rail industry has an obligation to get you to your destination. If you miss a connection then I would ask advice of staff on what you should do and get them to endorse your ticket accordingly. While there is no obligation to do this it might help in the event of any issues further down the line.

You will of course be able to claim delay repay if your into Aberdeen is sufficiently delayed.

Looks all OK to me, but I would carry a printout of your itinary as a 'safety net'.....

Thanks for the replies - very much a case of fingers crossed. Will the LNER train from Edinburgh to Aberdeen be just that as opposed to arriving in Waverley from somewhere south or will it be via Carlisle, into Waverley and then back out in the opposite direction? If from Carlisle direction, I can't imagine it being to time sadly.
