Well I guess that's something. TfW are obviously expecting them to enter service eventually, hopefully it'll be by the December TT change (this year).Slightly poking out of a shed in Canton, one of the 769's has had TfW Wales and borders stickers applied and doors painted red. Train went past too quick to get a photo or number.
thanks for thatPRM 150240
ATW 153+FGW 153+TFW 153 on an Ebbw Vale service Tuesday night. Looked pretty!
It's out now in service just left Wellington zo should now be 1308 International to Holyhead158837 seen at Crewe LNWR a couple of days ago in full TFW livery
@Spirit555 I assume that "837" has also received PRM mods, as all other 158s that have gone into TfW livery received at the same time if they didn't have them already.
If that's the case, that means that 18 of the 24 TfW 158s now have PRM mods, with 11 of those 18 being in TfW livery (10 with logos/branding and 1 without).
The other 7 of the 18 with PRM mods are still in ex-Arriva livery, and the other 6 of the 24 TfW 158s are still in ex-Arriva livery without PRM mods.
That means that 13 of the 24 TfW 158s are still in ex-Arriva livery.
thanks for your replyIn the case of 158s they have not got full PRM Mods prior to going in. They hadn't got CET for one thing and these are being fitted I believe, to complete PRM compliance.
other mods were/are also required for compliance even after the big ATW refurb; mostly (but not limited to) changes to door sounders and controls.Good shout! I can put those on the list; is there any visual indication for a passenger-spotter...? Which 150 did you drive with WSP...?@anamyd are you going to keep track of the 150’s that have WSP fitted too? That’s meant to be completed before October. So far I’ve only driven one with it fitted.
I feel like my message was misunderstood, but thanks for the reply anywayother mods were/are also required for compliance but I won't go into detail on a livery thread.
The TfW Rail Services Wikipedia article, "rolling stock - current fleet" section (as well as the TfW section the last time I looked at the 158 article before the destructive T*** M** kept deleting "nonsense about Thailand" which put me off it) states "Persons with Reduced Mobility modifications as well as the fitment of toilet retention tanks", but that was written a while ago and actually I now believe that CETs are required for PRM compliance, because if you think about it "don't flush at a station" is discriminatory to a person with a condition which means they need to use the toilet very frequently. What I was trying to say was that as part of PRM, the toilets were already PRM cpmpliant but without CET tanks. I have just quoted these areas as an example and am aware there are their are other things to be done to meet full compliance which are being done.

I think the shade of green used on the flag is too light to look smart on a vehicle (on the TrawsCymru bus livery for example the green doesn't really work). I would have used a selection of three colours in the liveries, as TfW have done, but instead of the dark grey I'd use a dark green (similar in hue to the green on the Welsh flag, but darker). And I'd use the red alot less, at least on the 158s which would look something like this (I may have gone a tad too dark on the green there, but hopefully you get the idea).Still not a fan of the bland white and red. Ignoring that it's gonna show the dirt it's just bland especially when so many liveries are going for base white.
Did a mock up based on the national flag a la scotrail. Won't ever happen but I think it's nicer
It’s been a while since I drove it. But you’ll definitely have to look though the cab window. I’m sure there a WSP block on the bogie but unless you know what ya looking for, pointless. The new 150’s have new isolation switches on the passenger side (opporated by a drivers key) they’re near the windscreen on the right side. The other tell is a big black WSP box for the circuit breaker. I’m positivethere some modifications to the cab too but I can’t quite remember. Best bet, every 150 ya see, ask the driver if there’s new isolation switches. If so, it’s got WSPGood shout! I can put those on the list; is there any visual indication for a passenger-spotter...? Which 150 did you drive with WSP...?

thanks, might be an interesting outcome if I ask the driver of every 150 I see if it has new isolation switchesIt’s been a while since I drove it. I say Cancer Research Wales, Disability Wales and the Alzheimer's SocietyThe locos should be named and the DVT will have the livery. I don't know if the 67's will stay with the corresponding rake as I know DB like to rotate the 67's around, or if the carriages will have the charity livery as well.
The charity options are the Railway Children, Cancer Research Wales, Disability Wales, Diabetes UK Cymru and the Alzheimer’s Society. We've had an internal vote but it should also be going out to a public vote closer to the date of their introduction. Throughout the year there'll be events where people can donate to the train's charity if they wish.
Quite nice I think.
Did it get PRM by any chance?
