--- old post above --- --- new post below ---
Busy afternoon for Gez today....seems like the Preston/Blackpool services were taking a hammering, spare 16667 being used at 1617 on a service to Morecambe that was still around Garstang!

Forgot about that one, 17023 expiring at Garstang, engine not well

I'm not even going to bother guessing lol.

22721 on an evening 2a
17023 on the 40 so must be feeling better :)

Jonesy there you are! Was wondering what had happened to you!

Will 16665 be passing by CE on it way back...?

Also do you know where the B10B's are going to settle?

Glad 47156 is having some work done!!!

Been on the sick only went back in today, 21003/4 and 5 were still in the same spots as of 2 weeks ago so i dont what is going to happen to them, 16665 has it`s seats taken out before it went up but unsure if it has been repanelled over the side and back blinds, 47156 is having it`s seats done has it`s being transferred out, they have started pulling 16648 to bits has it had no gearbox and 16351 has had a engine put in.

Ahhhhh well hope you feel better!

If the seats are been done I guess it will pass by CE on its way back down. Would be nice if it came back in green...

Wonder where 47156 will end up and how long the other old solos will last!!!

16351 should be ready to go soon then!

a few Citi Darts were flying around sounding rather dodgey! didn't catch any numbers, but one was sounding like a digger when idling and low speed.

bus station was totally empty when i walked through at around 9:45.

The engine they put it in 16351 sounds like it`s come from the old 5/2 GM express buses (C2??-FVU).

I thought 52210 was Preston's trainer? Suspected 16662 had been on the 940, caught a glimpse of it at LRGs but couldn't be sure of ID.

9+3: 9 new buses for Morecambe's 40/1/2 and 3 for Lillyhall's 300?

Assuming that Scania E400s are on the cards, what are they gong to replace?

Certainly the Leylands, can't see it being more than a few Volvos, and possibly some S reg Tridents?

My git reaction is to say Olys will be going rather then Tridents but could be the other way round. Both types are having TLC so...

Actually saw you again this morning Paul lol waiting in Torrisholme next to the engineering van.

Ahhhhh I see :)

Yes Mbonwick he has gone quiet but it could all be a ploy to trick us into a false sense of security lol.

This Morning:

17019/22, 18324/25/26/30/62/80/81 and 22818 on 2/2a so far. 18330 has developed a loud squeak like 18362.
14208 on 500
18382 on 40
16663 on 5
20546 and 22814 on X1
20795 and two Olys parked up at the bus station. 20795 then went onto the X1

Me!

It did the 1415 staff shuttle back to the depot. I assume this is to cover for buses caught up in the Carnforth chaos?

18354 on 555, didn't have time to catch anything else.

20436 done the LL runs on Carlisle - Barepot 300 today. display still programmed with Carlisle's stuff, but in use with "Barepot Bridge via Maryport 300" on.
20944 and 20960 on the other Carlisle - Barepot 300 runs.
20779, 20919, 35246 and 35249 on Maryport - Barepot 30.
20779's LED is still programmed with Carlisle's stuff. piece of paper stuck to windscreen with "30" on in bubble writing, done in pen. could barely see it.
20134 on 37.
47006 on Maryport Circulars.

20764 replaced 47616 on 50. 47616 went onto Harrington and 101 to replace something.
47023 was also on Harrington and 101.
47059 on 51.
16651 on Whitehaven - Workington 300.
16647 flying around, display still dead. not sure what it was on though! it went down to the footbridge with passengers on, so i'd have guessed at 30 / 31.
20790 on 100.
20473 and 20776 on schools on north of the river.

school services on the south of the river are now operated by local independant companies, not Stagecoach.

so, now for my rant!
why the h*ll are Stagecoach wasting diesel, sending buses down to the footbridge on staff shuttle, as well as the fiesta van, when they are following one of the 7 service buses an hour down there!!!!! today, the fiesta van went down, followed by 22609, which was followed by 47023! the 3 of them were pretty much together!!! no more than a few seconds between them!!!
its just like the 30S service! pointless!
as is the 37! yet again, the 37 had no passengers when i saw it!

Yeah 16665 is away. S reg's Tridents could be off or B10's.

Had 20540 on the X1 today and it didn't sound good. The fan belt was squeaking like mad when it accelerated, the ride at the back was awful and its paint is looking very faded as well as the red paint showing through the orange on the interior poles.

Was 21005 been in service just a one off because they were desperate?

Unsure got told that they might be going back into service.
I had the great pleasure today of taking the tax disc and O'licence out of 14204.
I think it will be the leyland olys and some of the volvo olys that might be going.
