Looking at the competition and other images dotted around the Europeanbahn Website, it looks like they are set to release High Speed One from St Pancras at least to the Channel Tunnel. Not sure if they will cross into France or carry on through to Lille or Paris.

I did a heck of alot of work on the same route many years ago, and EB approached me to sell it. We never struck a deal though, so it looks like they have done their own version. They also owned the Eurostar model I was using so it make sense that they are now making use of it.

Look forward to their efforts on this popular route, and wish them luck on releasing another MSTS route in what must now be a vastly reduced market for them.

Hmmmm ....

This has me worried - what will the Class 395 be like?

Their interpretations of the Class 323, 365 and 313 weren't great, I hope the 395 is an improvement.

Im sure it will be fine. When I was working on the route years ago we got hold of plans of the units before Hitachi had even cut the first alluminium to build them. I think back then it was more of an Olympic flag livery than the SouthEastern seen today.

Now that the units are running, and hornby do a model it should be much easier to replicate the shape nicely.

Here are some shots of the version I produced way back:vCTRL for MSTS
(This is not the route by Europeanbahn though!)

Europeanbahn have not made an official announcement abount ANY High Speed route. They have just posted a few screenshots of an early representation of what looks to be Ashford International. I don't know where Lucazone has got his information from but it would be better to speculate once their site is updated accordingly and we have some sort of official word on this.

They were meant to be releasing the Caterham branch, but that seems to have vanished...

Sadly, unless the quality is somewhat different from what they usually release, I can't see it being anything to write home about. They got stuck at the level of output they started off with when other people had moved on a *lot*.

Hiya,

If you read my OP you will see that I state where I have made my conclusion from, and that I make no reference to anything official from Europeanbahn. As my other information should suggest, I have probably better knowledge than many on the route in question and so am able to recognise its features when they are shown.

That should be credit to EB that they have correctly modelled even 'back street' areas that can be recognised :)

Hiya,

EB have now updated their website confirming their intentions, and providing a small video of a Class 395 departing Ashford heading north.

An interesting position that they are only doing the line from St Pancras to Ashford. Looking at this map of my version, that is less than a 3rd of a potential route they could run.
