It's around 2 months I would estimate. The first one was 156420 which was completed around February 2018. I think it's the fact that they are going one at a time. The 158s are being done at Crewe in pairs.

Depends on what work the ROSCOs want doing to them, some of the angel 150/1s are only having toilets and PIS screens fitted as they got done when they were with WMT/London midland, when they were 3 cars with the 150/2 in the middle.
The original NH 150/1s and the former GWR ones are having the full works.

One reason why the Porterbrook 156s are going down one at a time is that the East Midlands Trains 156s (again, the Porterbrook ones) are also visiting Wolverton for PRM works.
The EMT ones require much less work to be fair (door sounders, new disabled toilet & dot matrix PIS), while the Northern programme of works is more extensive.
Add the WMT 323 PRM works into the mix and you have a works facility at capacity.

I've been watching a load of "Trainspotting at Doncaster" videos lately and there's a 319 in the WABTEC works next door. Does anyone know why a 319 would be at Doncaster?

There’s two 769s in there currently, presumably for mods to get them into traffic.

I was coming back from seeing Les Miserables at bradford via interchange on wednesday (still never been to or from forster square yet). The train I had a on the way back was a 2 car 158 which had PRM mods and on the back there was a 153 which was unmodded. The PIS displays on the 158 were turned off (and ditto to the automated announcements too). Have Northern started doing that now when trains are connected to unmodded units so the announcements don't deafen people or is it that it was just that they didn't have the announcements on as it was modded recently?

There was a brief out internally over a year ago stating that if you have an unmodded unit in formation then the route code, with the auto announce stuff, should not be used as it can prevent the use of the cab to cab mode.

Quote from the 195 thread:
Nice to know we’ll be stuck with Pacers longer than everywhere else, wouldn’t be surprised if they end being given derogations and remain permanent
I don't think they can unless they have PRM mods
