All-Line Rail Pass (NOT All Line Rover)

Anyone ever heard of this ? Anyone know the cost !? As shown below, if it is not on sale to the General Public, just who can buy it ?

All-Line Rail Pass

This is a twelve month Season Ticket has unrestricted validity on all Train Company services, either in First Class or in Standard accommodation as indicated on the Pass.

It can only be purchased upon direct application to Rail Settlement Plan and is not on sale to the general public.

The Pass will be issued to a named individual or to a 'Bearer’; the name or the word 'Bearer' will be written on the back of the ticket in the space provided.

The named Pass holder must also be in possession of a Season Ticket Photocard.

The Season Ticket holder's Photocard number should be shown in the space on the pass, unless it is a 'Bearer' pass, where no Photocard is required.

If the named Pass holder is unable to show a Photocard, the pass should be withdrawn and treated in the normal way. The 'Bearer' pass holder does not require a Photocard.

This has been mentioned before.

I contacted ATOC and was informed the pass was no longer issued, and that they would be removing the entry from the FRPP.

Obviously they haven't got round to this yet (unsurprisingly).

They also told me it was issued to people (mainly contractors) as a sort of 'duty pass'. So basically a contractor buys a few bearer passes, gives them out to staff as and when required. They are returned by the employee when no longer needed.

That is incorrect as far as ATOC are concerned. They have said this is a legacy entry that was copied into the FRPP as it used to be in the old manual. They definitely said this product was no longer available.

I will contact my Fares & Retail Publications Manager tomorrow and clarify this with him.

I saw one on one of my trains a few months ago on Blue season ticket stock. I studied it closely incase it was dodgy, as I hadn't seen one before, but it all appeared genuine. The price was shown as £0.00.
