I'm struggling a bit here! As far as I can tell, all buses finished hours ago, so since we're too far from the station we'll have to wait overnight, but please do correct me if I've missed something!
In the morning, we board the 06:50 Gem Mini Travel service 195 to N Wheatley, opp Primary School, arriving at 07:16 Thursday morning.

Retford has always had a very poor bus service in the evenings, rather unusual for a town with a population of just over 22,000.
A quick look of the timetable shows that there's a bus going back to Retford at 0814, but we avoid that as we don't want to return in the direction we've just come from so we board the 0912 Stagecoach Grimsby-Cleethorpes (part of Stagecoach East Midlands) service 95 to Gainsborough (Bus Station), arriving there at 0935 on Thursday morning.

As it is almost midnight, we claim the right to take advantage of the overnight travel relaxation rule, so after some time, we take the three minute walk to Abbey Street and there board the 0442 Arriva Midlands X45 service to Magna Park (the bus stop adjacent to DHL on Wellington Parkway) that arrives there at 0532 on Friday morning.
