Yes I read somewhere the original buyer had dropped out. I always thought the NC's were very ugly but seeing it out and about in the flesh it looks a lot better. Plus I prefer the rear end compared the the RL's :)

Well, in my mind, Stagecoach would be mad to dispose of them straight after spending quite a lot on repainting and retrimming and fitting LED destis.

The only logical palce for them is Lillyhall really;
ME - getting rid of them
CE, PR, CY, KL - new fleets already or oldest [regular] vehicles equivilant age
BA - older vehicles kept for seatbelts [B10Bs don't have]

leaving LL - full of older vehicles that could realistically be replaced.

turns out the Panther that was spotted on route testing not too long ago in Cumbria isn't for X5, however, it was testing on parts of the X5 route for something special which may happen in summer!!!

47006, 47007 and 47062 on Harrington, with 101 and 30S in between runs.
47023 on 50.
47061 on 51. it is showing the scrolling in same way it always has on the Circulars.

16651 running 10 mins late on Whitehaven - Workington 300.
30 and 31 been running a few mins late as well.

it isn't North West who was doing the test run. it was one of the depot's in Scotland. they tried taking it through parts of the X4 but got to the bridge to find it was closed. they're apparently looking at adding West Cumbria to one of the Megabus routes. not sure how that part of X4 route would link into a Megabus route though!
we'll find out how true it all is if it happens!

18326/28/61/63/80 on 2/2a
16664 on 49
16665 on 81a
16877 on 55a
2054* on 3/4
18364 on Sainsbury's bus

17022 was was on the 2a as well. Its looking very tatty and has neither Stagecoach or Lancaster written on the side after its branding was removed.

I got the 3 today from Uni into town. It was the service that only runs to the bus station and back. It missed out common Garden for obvious reason and that got me thinking. It may have been better to just extend the X3 timetable making it a completely different service...

16664 was also working service 10 (which interworks with the 49), it replaced 47160 which had brokedown in the middle of Gt. John Street.

20547 was on 3/4's earlier, and UID MAN on 2/2A's.

I haven't heard anything about it, I'd have thought if they were gonna run Megabus into W/C it would be a service from London/Preston to compete with NatEx, which is something that has been considered in the past.

Why must all express service from Cumbria go south, what wrong with going north ?, Say to Glasgow or Aberdeen.

Noted on the VOSA website:-

PC0002407/73 - STAGECOACH (NORTH WEST) LTD T/A CUMBERLAND MOTOR SERVICES, SECOND FLOOR, BROADACRE HOUSE, 16 - 20 LOWTHER STREET, CARLISLE, CA3 8DA
Variation Accepted: Operating between Keswick and Keswick given service number 77/77A effective from 28-Mar-2010. To amend Timetable.

Still no sign of the fleetcard then?

If I remember rightly it was 20544 on the 3/4, 22805 on 55A, 22806 on 41 and 22818 on 2/2A, driven by Paul Mcgill.

Thanks for clarifying about 16664 - I certainly wondered what it was doing when it pulled in next to 18355
