i know that this might be a bit soon, but can anyone confirm if there are any regular services through Bristol TM yet of the HST GTi / Castle sets?

Yes, lots of them. Most of the Cardiff to Tauntons are GT1s. The workings can be found here, despite the dates, they haven't changed:-

You quite often see them passing through Worle now to and from Bristol Temple Meads, allthough a mixture of slam door and refurbished power door sets.

I caught a slam door set on the 08:48 from Worle towards Cardiff Central Thursday morning. Rather and odd combination of colours with a blue power car, 2 green TSOs, a blue TSO and TSG then a green powercar. They have also added extra stickers onto the drop lights warning people not to open the window when the train is moving. The guard also makes announcements as such, never heard this so much when they were on the high speed services.

It certainly is better when of these turn up, or even a Turbo rather than the horrible 150/1s we got not so long ago.

I’ve caught one of the refurbished power door sets and they have done a good job, allthough they could do with turning the TSOs around so there is a toilet between each coach, as currently there isn’t one between the TSG and the first TSO. It’s also weird, not having the slam doors.
