Does anyone know what the salary is at greater anglia as a mainline driver?

I heard they had an agreement for an increase but cant be dead sure.

Is that salary up to date? Seems very low, especially for drivers based in or near London. They must struggle to retain staff if that's all they pay. Must be lowest paid in the south east.

Not sure where Ilford stands but:

Great eastern is £50k
Anglia is £49k

Sundays outside so + another £5-6k.

I’m not sure of any new deal so sorry no details for that.

Sundays are on top so about £5-6k more plus London allowance for Liverpool Street, Bishops Stortford and Cambridge.

Looking at that ASLEF information page it's also committed Sundays on Anglia, so while that pushes the real wage up it also means they are not on a true four day week as Sundays are essentially enforced overtime. But then, reading further, it seems that they are not even on a four day week anyway!

I reckon that page must be out of date because those wages and conditions are very surprising.

All areas at GA will be on a 4 day week (average) with sundays outside soon. West Anglia already are.

Its not as if the lower companies salaries of circa £50k are difficult to live on.

Yes. Very much so. I can't speak for GA but I can speak about another London-based TOC that drivers leave in droves to join other firms. It's not just the money but the conditions, management and quality of the work too.

Sunday pay is time and a quarter on the east. Not sure if it’s the same on west/Anglia. Payable in addition to the 35hrs a week.
If you do not want to work a rostered Sunday you have to find someone to cover it.

No agreement in place for the foreseeable future. No pay rise in place for the foreseeable future. Aslef just rejected our 2.75%.
Aslef could only agree to sell off the guards to DOO for a £1000 back in January.
Won't waste my time on this lot. Ilford is been rip apart by internal politics. Toxic place to work at the moment.
